Hey guys I have a 2016 tundra sr5. I have a problem fueling up my truck, every time I go to put fuel the pump shut off as soon as I start to put fuel. I’ve also disconnected the vent line coming off the gas tank that goes to the charcoal canister and it still doesn’t work. If someone could help me out it would be great, thanks

Hey Jonathan, welcome to the site.

With having a 16, this should be covered under the emissions warranty of your truck.

Anyway, you could have a kinked line, bad evap fill vent valve, or tank vent.

    I had the same issue.
I took it to the dealer and they ended up replacing my entire gas tank.

ColoradoTJ- I’m thinking it might be the evap vent fill valve and having that bullydog doesn’t it void my warranty?

Not sure how the bully dog would void your evap vent line. Might void other things like the ECM, but they would have to prove that the BD did that.

The dealership tried for a second to blame my front diff growl on my Bilstein 6112 on the lowest setting (.75" lift), and I smashed that pretty quickly showing them the TRD PRO has a 2" lift and gave them the TSB on the needle bearing that is common to fail on Toyota 4wd front diffs. I pushed back and they backed down pretty quickly.

Keep us posted on how it goes. Also, take the BD program off. No reason to poke the bear, so to speak.

He is one of our brothers up north in Canada.

The dealership fixed mine by giving me a new tank! They said something about there being baffles in or on the gas tank that sometimes get stuck! So they just replaced the whole tank

Update! After exceeding the 36k factory warranty I have been told the repairs would exceed 2k to replace the fuel tank. They apparently have found the baffles blocking the vent? I’m heading to the dealer today to talk about the pricing, warranty, and any recalls pertaining to this frequent problem amongst allot of Tundra owners accross the US.

I've had this exact same issue. Turns out the rollover valve was wedged shut by a broken baffle (according to tech I talked to). Whole tank was replaced under extended warranty & 42k miles. Guy also told me he sees this about 1-2x a year.
