Hello, everyone. This is my third and favorite Tundra. I had a 2006 4x4 limited crew, and a 2007 limited 4x4 CM before this one. Its a 2x4 DC SR, and boy does she have some stories. I have driven this Tundra from Houston to Key West, to NYC, to Salt Lake City, through the Rockies, around Moab, the Black Canyon, through the flood waters of Hurricane Harvey, all over the Gulf Coast, and East coast, Indianapolis motor speedway, the Smoky Mountains, upper Wisconsin, the great lakes, and has never had any problems.
I bought this truck with 32k, and I am sitting at 144k just 2.5 years later. This little 2x4 has been through some of the harshest environments taking me to job sites. It has never been stuck (although it probably should have). I have only wished for 4 wheel drive once, and that was in the mountains around Oakley Utah somewhere.
I haven't changed much on the truck, but I have insulated the cabin. I have also added some limited wheels that I scored on craigslist for 240$. They are wrapped in Falken ST Z-05 rubber (275/55 r20). I would switch to 305s, but these just won't die. I have about 45k on them right now. I picked them up for about 30 a piece, and Discount tire sold me a warranty on them when I had them mounted. They still look new.
I bought paint (1g3) to paint the grill surround and bumper. It'll keep sitting in the garage until I have time to paint. I have fog lights, and a relay waiting to be installed along with a piano black lacquer and leather steering wheel. They are also waiting for me to make some time. I still need a turn signal switch with fog.... Here are some pictures. I love this little truck.
