Honestly, after Toyota screwed me on the SC, I’m a bit timid.

I hear ya, but I figure screw it. I do all my own work and have for years. I buy parts and labor is free (if you can consider your own time free) if something goes wrong. I'm taking the gamble on my first brand new truck. I think I'll be pleased with the results of no more torque management.

I got Daptized a couple of weeks ago by Shrek in SoCal and so far, I'm liking the smoother gear transistions and not searching for gears at higher speeds. I realized that I had to change my driving habits and regulate how I step on the gas because it's too easy to go into faster speeds without realizing it.

I'm still on my first tank and I'm planning a longer drive with relative open space. I've yet to see the mileage change, although I'm not really concerned. Once I notice the change, I will update you guys.

Must say, impressive. Worth every penny.

Must have missed you @Sean266. Saw your truck when I pulled in, then Shrek started tuning my truck right after noon (I was late) and next thing I knew you must have been leaving for lunch. Catch you next time I'm up in your neck of the woods.

Side note, on our way home we pulled off in Larkspur and it looked like the town was on fire. We took a pitstop at the town park and I took a couple photos of the truck and if you look closely right above the trees over my hood, you can see the smoke. Bad grass fire just south of Larkspur, and they were evacuating people. Sure hope everyone and their property remains safe.

Lift, 35's on 20's, BAmuffler/ dirty deeds budget dump, S&B CAI, NFAB Front and Rear bumpers, blacked out headlights and tailights.
So I've looked into their website to find out more about options. I don't know much of anything about the tune, and it asks for specifics anything special I need to add?
I have a 2014 SR5 4x4 on 35s, S&B CAI along with a budget dump from Keith. I have had it tuned with a bullydog bdx but i am getting mixed readings. At first premium tune had me 15mpg then all of a sudden constant 13mpg at most. Was never consistent.

Paragraph later I am guessing D.A.P. may have been more beneficial ? Idk just looking to broaden the capabilities of the Tundra.

Should not be necessary unless you are getting "Wake Up" errors on the tuner.

Sent the file Tuesday, I have to see the dealer in a week for my 10,000 oil change, would like to see it by then. Figure I won't install it till after my visit. Stoked to try it.
I get he needs a bit of a vacation after his tour, but still chomping at the bit to get it. UTTundra still enjoying your tune? Do you unistall your tune for a tire rotation at the dealer?

No need to uninstall for things like tires, oil change, etc., unless you suspect the dealer needs to do something with the trucks computer...for example, I had my ecu reflashed last year to take care of an alcohol density reading issue that certain flex fuel Tundras were known to have. My warranty is long gone, and the nearest dealer is 3+ hours away, so I've had to learn to do my own maintenance and repair. Now I know who to blame when something goes wrong. :anonymous:

Only concern I have is they could hook it up for updates. Or do they need to do some digging to find I installed a tune?
I guess it's just as easy to uninstall it.
I have to drive more then 70 miles to the dealer. So driving after uninstall not an issue.

    I DAPtised the 5.7L 2007 @ 281159 miles on the morning of 12/1/18.
    IMG_1801.jpg
Stock intake, exhaust, and gears... the only changes are a lowered rear end and smaller diameter tires. The truck is smoother and more powerful off the line, it shifts better, and there is no speed limiter. I have put a couple thousand miles on the tune - everything is great, no problems.

D.A.P. tuned last summer. I'm happy with it. Most everything is better, smoother, stronger. But don't expect any MPG increase.

Fuel economy may be increased, but my right foot is busy
exploring the other attributes and I haven't checked the MPGs yet.
