After alot of cutting and grinding, I finally got my back rack ready for finishing.

Gave it two coats of bedliner. Installed tonight. I am happy overall with end result. It ended up being a little taller to clear the third light and I would have liked a little wider stance but then the tonneau cover wouldn't fold all the way.

I am routinely moving long lumber or ladders, etc. Also looking at either a LED light bar or multiple light pods.

    Update on the truck.
    - The BFG AT KO2's still look new and they have 12000 kms already.
    - Rhino lined grille/ bulge still gets compliments and now have been tested with bugs. Bugs come off really easy with hose and a little elbow grease. They do come off easier than the ones stuck to the windshield.
    - I have been having intermittent check engine light that comes on at random times and turns off on its own. I am assuming that it is related to the Hypertech but I haven't had time to remove it and see if there are any new updates.
I fell that this is the best Tundra I have owned/ drove yet. Yes, I know that it is new but this is my fourth Tundra.
    - Next mod is the garage/ shop but then I would like to do seat covers and then possibly wheel spacers.
    Thanks for all the support.

I normally don't spend the time reading through someone's write up on their build, but for some reason I read through yours. Very nice build and write up! Look forward to see her transformation.

That emblem is killer. Where / how did you get it? I'd love one on my truck. Looking to line-x my grille also.

    Thanks!!

Thanks for like. The emblem was ordered from Diaz fabrication. He is a vendor on this forum. Did an amazing job. I am thinking of changing it up, maybe... after the garage is done.

Awesome. Thank you. Checking out Diaz now. Seems like I can only order 3x a year based on production batches? Or am I not reading his site properly?

That would be correct. He is under license from Toyota and only able to make limited batches. I waited months for mine. Well worth the wait.

Regarding the lineX on the bulge/ grille - are you concerned about UV fading? I want to black out my grille as well (i have the SR5 trim and currently have the gray plastic grille and chrome bulge. I've had lineX rhino in previous trucks and the beds if not tonneau'ed fade kind of quick.

Also does just the grille (where the emblem attaches) come off separate from the bulge and lower piece (mine also chrome), or are they one unit?

Rather than go all black, I'm thinking of keeping the bulge and lower piece chrome to have black and chrome so as match the bumper/ TRD wheels.

I have not seen any evidence of fading as of yet.
The grill does come apart but I have heard from some that it is a pain is the @$$ to get them apart. I was able to find a limited grille really cheap and shut had the whole thing rhino lined.
May I suggest in trying some plasti-dip and do the center of your grille. If you don't like the look, then it is really easy and cheap to change.
    Have fun with the mods.

So it has been an extremely busy fall/ early winter. Looks like no one on this site has slowed down. Some great new mods have been showing up. I have had little to no time for any mods for my Tundra until now. I have a set of limited mirrors coming to me at the end of the week so my tow mirrors are going up for sale. I will post an ad as soon as I have them off the truck. Also, anyone have suggestions for a retrofit for headlights? Thx

So... I found a used pair of Platinum mirrors in Tennessee and had them shipped to me in Canada. Got here right when they said they would (on friday), opened them up this morning to find one broken and one cracked. Both were packed well. Claim is already filed with Fed Ex. Now we wait. Maybe I can put the funds towards the next mod.

Switchbacks and matching fog light bulbs have been ordered but are on backorder. Have sold the tow mirrors ad waiting to see if there is a going to be a claim from FedEx. Next mod is either new or retrofit headlights or suspension. Would like to do a boss kit but will probably have to settle for 5100's all around with shackles instead of blocks for the rear.

Bilstein's ordered. Toytec rear shackles ordered. Also ordered bed and under hood lighting from Matt. Next thing I want to get is a new set of strut top mounts so u can just swap out the front suspension. Now I just have to wait for everything to get here.
