Howdy, happily a new owner of a 2006 Double Cab Tundra. I love this truck and I can’t wait to work on her some.

She currently has the JBL sound system, Complete with tape deck. I’m swapping it out with a radio from my old truck, a boss double din CarPlay unit. I’ve been searching around and trying to figure out if I can get the existing steering wheel controls to work with this head unit but so far I’ve come up blank. I’ve been told that the head unit will only work with older style analogue SWC systems and not ones that use digital signals to communicate. Does anyone have an idea if the 06 tundra uses analogue or digital controls?

I don't know what BOSS HU you have, but if you go to Crutchfield and select any double din BOSS HU they sell that is compatible with a 2006 Tundra with the JBL system, they then recommend this product to keep your steering wheel controls...
