Anybody run a Diamondback HD AND a bed rail/rack system? I've seen some guys like @llod on TW do it with his Tacoma but I didn't know if anybody here did it or tried with a Tundra or what was recommended. I'm looking at becoming a future overlander poser and maybe when the kids get older actually being able to the family out and do all the things.

I saw that earlier and that's what got me thinking on what is available for us Tundra owners. I like the idea of that track system but I just didn't know if any of the usual suspects had something compatible with the HD that I should consider as well.

I am running a diamonback HD and plan to install the KB Voodoo max modular rack. It's been sitting in my to do projects for a few months. Plan to get it done by the end of this month. Already have the rack.

    So I guess that's not a popular option/configuration...

I apologize, I missed the question earlier. I went with the full 18" tall height. HOWEVER, beware the standard tonneau brackets they ship with will not work for the Cab side of your bed. You will require 2 wider brackets on the cab side & 2 standard brackets on the tailgate side. Something to look out for when you place your order. If you order the tonneau brackets they sell for measuring your cover, this will be quite evident.

    Lost track after #1.
I like that guy's channel. He's been thru a couple of rack systems now so if he thinks it's good it probably is.

Did you end up deciding on what type of rack to use?

I have the Diamondback HD on my ‘19 Crewmax and am currently having a custom rack made that I can use without having to drill into my Diamondback HD and so that I don’t have a permanent rack on my truck. I’ll only be using the rack with a RTT and don’t want it on there when not in use. I’ll post updates when it’s finished.

Looking forward to seeing your setup. I've been considering the diamondback for a while now.

@FancyPants definitely let us know how that turns out.

Thanks @RoninPro I have been looking at the one from KB Voodoo. Haven't pulled the trigger.

Will do. I saw one over on the Toyota forum in the Diamondback Mod thread. Mine won’t be as fancy but it’ll do the job. Here’s the one that I saw
