I’ve done it with Platinum Sequoias before. Have a friend at the dealer and be willing to wait, sometimes months, but it is possible.

That roll down rear window and the moon roof get a ton of use if you have little youngens. I have an 8 year old deer spotter up top when we're cruising the coastal farmland during deer season. He also launches those darn drones of his thru the moon roof. Plus mama digs it in summer. Before I got a bed cover, the kiddos would pour thru that back window into the bed once we cleared the main road coming home. They were torqued when I got the Bakflip

It would be worthwhile to order a tundra platinum without the sunroof, as it encroaches on head room severely.

Makes it pretty easy to compare prices when there are so few options.

God one of the reasons I got the platinum was the sunroof and electric rear window.

Feed me all those highway looks.

If you want the Platinum without the sunroof, order the truck with the factory bedliner. The program will remove the sunroof from the vehicle build automatically. It exceeds weight parameters that effect towing #'s and also mpg ratings. The Platinum is so loaded with ball coolers and every possible motorized component, that it simply gets too heavy with the sunroof/bedliner combo so it will only allow one or the other. My Dealership didn't believe it and he tried for 3 weeks to make it happen, and corporate simply said they will not under any circumstance, allow an "overweight" truck off the line, or leave port. He gave up and I got it Line-X'd the week after I bought it. Best truck, love all the features and amenities, you won't regret it.

So, Get the Platinum, it's fucking awesome, order it the way you want and enjoy your nearly 7000# beast.

How tall are you? I’m 6’-2” and have a Platinum with the sunroof, still have lots of head room.

Thanks for the info on the bed liner and sun roof exceeding weight specifications. I had a dealer state they could not get the sun roof and bed-liner on a platinum, but they did not know why. This makes sense now. I just wish the sun roof did not intrude on head room so badly in this model. The power seats do help this however.

Tall enough that my ball cap crashes into the sun roof on the TRD Pro with seat at its lowest setting. Did not have this problem with moon roof on FJ80. I have not sat in a Platinum yet, so perhaps the seat height is a bit different from that TRD pro.

I ordered mine too. I just built it online, sent the specs to the local dealer, negotiated the price, and they sent it in. There were a couple of items that had to be done after it arrived at dealer, so they must have found one closest to my specs on the production line and grabbed it. It's got everything I asked for.

I don’t think there is any fake wood in the platinum. Limited has it though.

On my '11 Tundra Platinum I had the seat all the way down and had to drive slouched at 6'1 1/2" with the moonroof. Drove me nuts. My '16 SR5 has plenty of headroom. I've sat in an '18 Limited and Platinum and they have fixed the seat design where you can now lower the seat a lot to clear the moonroof headroom issue. The seats go much lower than they do on my SR5.
