@nowayout I really like your setup and the bronze SCS wheels. I have a MGM as well and I am thinking about getting the bronze. Quick question on your suspension. What did you add to the rear besides the +2 CB shackle? Anything?

Looks awesome, I would definitely have to regear if I went 37's even though I live on an island. I sometimes feel the need to regear with the 295's

Note that Bilstein 6112 spring may hit the stock UCA during articulation as evidence of this pix. The truck is not even off the ground in the pix. This will depend on tolerance stack up of the individual vehicles.

I noticed this as well when I did my 6112 install, but it was while the truck was still off the ground.

Well that doesn’t look good. Never noticed this when I installed mine, but I didn’t cycle mine. Maybe I should have. Did you remove the sway bar? If so, I’m wondering if leaving it in will keep it from drooping down to the point of hitting the coil spring?

When I first looked at the deal, I thought it said the 5100's were included for the rear. Went back to look and it says they are available for the rear. Misread it for sure! Still not too bad if you are not adding shackles to the rear or need shims for the front. If so, a complete set up from Toyotech or Boss4x4s would probably be the way to go.

This was on my bro’s truck. Yes, JBA UCA fixes this issue, tons of clearance, in my truck.
Sway bar is still on and pix not fully off the ground yet.

Anyone have any idea or have done measurements on the 6112's and how much they sag after they settle in...
like after a month or 2..just curious how much if any....I guess at top setting they are initially at 2.5" of lift...but once settled ?
Just trying to determine if a shim will be needed

Thanks for the reply. One other question I forgot to ask - are yours set at 2.5”? Or does it even matter what setting they’re at for them to hit like that at full droop?

Thanks again. Mine are at the 1.9” setting. But looking at your pics makes me think they’ll still hit. I don’t intend to do any hardcore off-roading, but I’ve done some mild 1 and 2 diamond rated trails that can still cause full droop, so this concerns me a bit. I may just have to jack up the front end and try to cycle the suspension and see for myself. If it hits, then I guess I’ll be needing UCAs.

Are there any advantages/disadvantages of going with the 6112's on the top setting vs at 1.9 w/ a shim? Just curious if there are reasons to choose one way versus the other.

I went with 1.9+shim to maintain a better ride quality. I netted exactly 2.5" on each side.

Less preload on the spring at 1.9” which lends to a better/softer ride

@dlowry81 I haven't run it both ways but I will say it make sense to have less preload on the spring. And the cost for the shims is very minimal. You will hear guys that have the 6112's at the top setting say it rides great also but like I said it makes sense to have less preload on the spring.
My experience with too much load on the spring was a set of Icon coilovers that I had maxed out on my 4runner, rode very stiff and much different with less pre load.

Did you replace UCA's also? Hows your alignment?

You should be fine up to 3” of lift in the front on stock UCA.

I went 2.5 6112 and 1 driver side shim. +2 cb shackle 5100 rear. alignment was perfect, did not need UCA.
