I’m guessing parking sensors won’t work with these bumpers? :(

Months later I have a few questions...

    1. After install... do I have to take off the bumper to get the grill/lights off, with that lip on the bumper looks like theres no way around it...

    2. Ive seen on videos of the m-rds that they have the new mounting slots for lights, will a rigid pod fit behind the screen on the ends cleanly and still have use? Or is it too cramed back there.

Guess I shoulda put this here after it got put on.

I cut a hole in the plate for trailer plug, powder coated to match the texture then mounted trailer plug in with stainless steel hardware. Got a 4” sticky back all weather led light strip mounted above plate. I’m still trying to figure out what lights to go with for back ups and if I put them behind the screens or pull the screens.

I’m also looking at front bumpers too. Interested in the RSP RDS and ADD lite. ADD lite is not nfab but love how aggressive it looks.

Some cheap bar off Amazon. I think I paid around $120. About 1/5th of the bar doesn't light up, I'm guessing from moisture behind the lens.

You happen to know the measurement in between plates and length of the bar?

Anyone with the mrds bumper on a 2nd gen have instructions for cutting the bumper? Install looks super easy, just not sure how much plastic gets cut.

Found a video on YouTube of one being installed on a 2011, but they make no mention of the plastic cutting! :annoyed:

Is there enough space to make a hole for parking sensors in the trim around this area?

My truck didn’t come with sensors. How big is the sensor? I can measure that area for you later today.

1 1/4” in the area you identified. You have 1 1/2” Inbetween the two mesh areas if you wanted to put the sensor there.

N-Fab has different part numbers for gen 2 and gen 3 bumpers. Most companies make bumpers specifically for gen 2 and/or gen 3 so it’s unlikely that the gen 3 MRDS bumper will work for a gen 2.

Mine is used from a gen3, they are different but I'm just living with it. Mounting is identical, the shape where it starts wrapping around is slightly different.

You can see in the pic here the plastic overhangs a bit on each side

The guys that mounted lights in the outer portion of the bumper(were the screens are located) what mounts are you running to attach the lights to the bumper?

Has anyone installed the NFab MRDS bumper on a tundra with front sensors? I see others asking about it in the thread.

I'm looking to see if anyone has fabbed anything or modded the bumper to account for sensor placement.

I have a NFab bumper, unsure what model. For the front sensors, I just cut the wires and capped them. No issues. I didn't see the need for the the front ones.

I'm looking to retain the function of the front sensors. Looks like I'll have to fab/mod something.

Not sure bout the lights but the out put would be cut back a lot. Even the lights ppl put behind their grilles is cut back. I had a 40” behind grille and it was poor as to out in the open
