I put some new tires on the truck today. I wanted something a little bigger and after reading multiple threads and reviews on tires I decided on the Falken Wildpeaks in 275/60/20 P rated. I don’t tow or haul anything that would require an E rated tire. It is a nice tire and the short ride home felt good. It definitely filled the wheel well more and because it is a P rated tire it was not crazy heavy so hopefully the MPGs won’t suffer too much. I will update this thread as I put more miles on them.

I have the same tires. So far so good. Awesome wet traction. The mpg’s displayed went from 16.0 to 15.9. Also did the dap tune soon after the tires went on.

Looks good! I'm noticing a good hit on my MPGs, but my tires are a little bigger.

Looks awesome! I'm on my 2nd set on the Tacoma. They are a good tire but don't expect to get the mileage they're rated for. Maybe 30K.

Stock suspension? Looks good with going up that one size. I have same truck. I like those Tyger steps as well.

I have 6112s on the front and 5100s rear. 6112s are at 1.3 inch lift. Im really happy with the way the truck rides. Yes going up that one size made a big difference I think. I did notice an improvement in the ride on the way to work this morning with the tires. Overall I'm happy.

I've had Falken Wildpeak at3w in 35x12.5 r17 on my truck for the last ~13k and have been pleased. Ride well, haven't had any problems offroad and the price was great. Not quite the same (size or rating) that you have, but thought I'd share.

Best bang-for-the-buck A/T tire on the market. I've researched tires and the Wildpeaks have gotten fantastic reviews by everyone. They are also recommended by Consumer Reports--CONSUMER REPORTS. That right there says something. Falken is a very interesting company, kind of a fly-under-the-radar type of tire company. But they have a definite niche market--hi performance tires, mainly for cars. They are entering the truck market and, again, they appear to have a very good AT tire, especially for the price.

edit: I have read one bad review by one customer who blew out a side wall when turning into a curb. That said, I'd go with the 10 ply sidewall, the LT version of the Wildpeaks. You can get the cheaper, 4 ply sidewall, but why? Go with the LT version...

    Not nearly enough room here!
My thoughts too. We don't tow heavy, maybe 4500 lbs but we tow for 500 miles at a time and in hot weather. I can't see car tires on my truck. My Michelin LTX AT2's in 285-65-18 cost me probably 1 mile per gallon, I'm good with that.

I was hoping that the more popular the got, the more the price might come down (cost per unit to produce should go down as production volume goes up?). That said, you have to call around to get the best price. I've contacted 3 different shops and got 3 different prices, the best coming from Discount Tire. I believe they quoted me around $189 per tire for 275/65/R18s mounted, with life time rotation no charge. Another shop quoted me $210 per tire, and I can't remember what the third shop said. But I got the quote for the LTs, which cost more...

    I paid $863 + $41 tax = $904 shipped for a set of 305/65-18s.

Would love to see more pics, I am considering this tire when my Toyo RT wear out, so that I can get back some ride quality and gas mileage.

Really? That is a nice deal. For the 295/70r18s from discount tire mounted was quoted at about $1000 ish.

The 305s are even more at discount tire.
    Good on you, man.

Went to Costco and paid $59 mounting and balancing. They swapped the TPMs and installed regular stems on my OEM rims.

Wow ... Didn't know costco mounts tires that are not purchased there. Is this something that is up to that particular Costco?

Joined the falken family this weekend. Picked up some stock size for the 20's I found locally. Paid $740 shipped and had a local guy do the install. Initial comparison's to General HT60 tires .. definitely louder. You can hear the hum but thats expected with AT's. Rotating mass feels heavier, but truck feels more planted. Takes more for traction control to kick on. They've been great and confidence inspiring with the snow/ice we've had so far.

Ebay vendor tire_nation has them currently for $710.00 + tax. The week I bought them Ebay had a $15/off promo. Mines have Feb 2019 DOT dates. Sat around for the year but not too old.

I did need to bump up my tire pressure to 42psi. I was having flat spotting everyday leaving work. It shook like crazy in the steering. Since bumping to 42 all has been good.

I went with the Wildpeaks over the toyo RT and so far love them! I’ve heard good things on both.

Same, but 40 psi for mines. The shakes I had on certain spots on my drive home are now gone.
