Does anyone know where i can get a switch blade style key fob that will work with the keyless entry one truck. I seen a video on YouTube where the guy has one but it wasn't above the key fob

I was looking for the combo key/remote. I think they are not available for "G" keys like the Tundra. Available for "O" keys. U can see the letter on the key.

How much would dealer charge to have key cut and programmed? I'd go with switchblade key too if it works. Don't like how the key and remote sit and angle out when next to each other.

I have not received my key yet. I plan to take it to a locksmith (Cothrans) when it does arrive. Should be here no between Sept. 30 - Oct. 12th.

UPDATE: Key arrived. Now to find someone to cut and program it...

Received my fob yesterday. Neither dealer will program it because its not a factory fob. They suck. I found the obd2 programer on ebay i might try

ACE hardware and pop a lock both have programmers that clone your original key. Found out from the salesman when I purchased my truck. Either one should be able to cut and program the key for you.

I was going to get this key but before ordering I called local locksmith and they said none of the locksmiths will touch it to program. He said that can screw up ecru or something like that.

From what I understand they dont program it to the vehicle, they just clone the code from the key, so the vehicle see's the same key.

Its a good thing i know the matco tool man. We were talking and he said the matco scanner he has will program my fob. Je let me borrow this $5000 scanner. I programmed the fob myself in under 10 min. It will also program a key with an immobilizer transponder chip. So a mom and pop shop with a good a scanner should be able to do it. Also cusos to wal-mart they are the only ones willing to cuty key. And did for free. I had to cut the transponder chip out of one of the original keys and installed it in the new key fob

Got my key cut and programmed at local locksmith. They first cut the key, then used their software to set up the key immobilizer, then set up the remote. He made sure he was "adding" a key throughout the process; he said this has better results than the other options. He charged me $50 to program; $4.95 to cut the key. He also told me for future reference that he can order a switchblade or all in one key and get it in 2 days. Also told me not to put much on the key ring end because these are made with a pin in the key hinge part that beaks often.

Lucky! Do you have a part number for that key? did you have a "G" key?
    Thank you.

Yes, it is a G key and matches the FCC numbers on the back of my master (OEM) key/fob. Here is the link to the sellers page. It took about a week to get it because it did come from China. Seller sent email with instructions and included instructions with shipment.
