Toyota Recalls Tundra, SUVs on Seatbelt Tensioners

Toyota is issuing a recall covering 320,000 units, including the 2003-2006 Land Cruiser, 2004-2006 4Runner, 2005-2006 Tundra and Sequoia, 2003-2006 Lexus LX 470, and 2004-2006 GX 470. The affected models are equipped with curtain-shield airbags. Those models are also equipped with seatbelt pretensioners. A software programming error could cause the pretensioners to deploy inadvertently in some cases, increasing the likelihood of an injury to occupants. Owners of affected vehicles will be notified by first-class mail. Dealers will replace the control module with a new one with the correct software.

Toyota issued a recall in May 2015 for vehicles sold in high-humidity areas, in which the airbag inflators could be affected by the humidity and suddenly rupture. That recall included the RAV4, Tundra, and Sequoia. Toyota also recalled the 2007-2013 FJ Cruiser for the door-mounted seatbelt retractor. Toyota also had a number of models affected by the wide-ranging Takata airbag recall.

Just got a recall letter from Toyota for my wife's 4Runner. it's the airbag. anyone have a 4Runner that got the same letter? curious how long the repair too
