gave the ol’ girl a facelift with a new (to me) set of headlights, thanks to @Gadvan and a new grille. Before and after.

Yesterday I color sanded, buffed, installed overhead shelves, windows, and rack on my topper. Hoping to get it back on the truck this week.

    IMG_20190302_161713073.jpg

Today I made some "real" brackets to mount my ARB awning instead of using L-brackets and hose clamps like the PO (I'm a welding hack so don't laugh). The extra holes at the bottom will be used mount LED pods for side lighting. The hole in the cylinder portion will allow me to drill a hole thru the cross bar and add a padlock for a little extra security.

didn't noticed any difference. yeah we re-used the chrome tip. It has a double wall so it won't get too hot by the tire and re-direct the gas better because of the shape. Plus not as ghetto as straight hack..lol. welded 2 legs on the tip so it won't go anywhere .

What kind of glue? Wonder if plastic welding would do it ? Or is the toyota made of metal

It’s all plastic. I used gorilla glue super glue and it ain’t coming off. Something with a fine tip applicator will work best. Not much surface area to work with on the honeycomb grille, but once it’s on there and dried, flip it over and add some extra beads of glue. I’d have to break the grille to pull this logo off now.
