Yes... I eventually want to swap out the Halogen Units for the '19 black LED housing units.. but until the funds are right.. I am seeking the best bulbs to swap with..

Has anyone gone with either of these for fogs/heads? they seem nice, and have decent reviews. I did just get their smaller LED bulbs to replace the interior lights in my wife's jeep.

Only annoyance i have is you have to remove the whole damn unit to change a bulb.. so why not just change the unit then....

    anyways.. heres the bulbs.

I’ve not used this brand, but have had great luck with Hikari. They are more expensive though.

HIKARI Ultra LED Headlight Bulbs Conversion Kit -H11 (H8,H9), Prime LED 12000lm 6K Cool White,2 Yr Warranty https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077BT6M6Z/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_nYtFCbG3VGHZ1

I used a cheaper one in the fogs that wasn’t as bright. Using hikari on both was too blinding.

Keep in mind that putting LED lamps in your stock housing is going to cause an issue for other drivers. The reflector will scatter light everywhere, and hits oncoming traffic pretty hard.

Auxbeam NF-S1 for headlights and fog lights. Very good light output and retains stock beam pattern. The bulbs are built exactly like the stock halogen bulb with the reflector cup for the low beam.

yea i do like them.. they just pricey.. I did go with the VLEDS LED strip for the Footwell lights in my 18 Tundra $40 for the kit.. Looks awesome too. Plan to get the rear seats soon. Really lights up the car when you add on the LEDs for the courtesy lights

Awesome, I will look into these. Anyone found an easy way to change the Headlights or is the only way to remove the housing?

There is only one way to do it but very easy. There are YouTube videos that show you how to do it. I can have them both out in 15 min

It is easy, but a ridiculous design. Having to remove all of that to change a lamp is a joke. Imagine having a lamp go out on a trip, and having to all of that to fix it. You should be able to change one out in a Walmart parking lot with no tools.
Most of us can do it, only because we have. Imagine someone who hadn’t before, or one of our wives out of town having to deal with it.

does the big ole rubber gasket still get used, or is the fan module of the LED light in the way and the gasket need to be removed completely.

The Auxbeam doesn't have a fan but only a heatsink. You will still utilize it. The bulb separates from the black plastic mounting base on the bulb by simply rotating the bulb and pulling it off. Mount black mounting tab to the housing and then place boot back over top and secure it. Next all you have to do is place the bulb into the housing with the metal reflect tab facing downwards and you're done.

Auxbeams, just made the swap and love it. Not real scatter and good cut off. No way to do it without removing the housings, grill etc. Even with taking it all apart it only took me about 30 minutes.

Wired to the little park brake light bulb circuit. Lights come on when I press unlock on keyfob or when ant door opens up just like the dome lights. They face out with done lights or turn off when I press lock button on keyfob or if vehicle is running and I open and close the doors.

Sorry I don't have a write up but it was pretty easy. I'll have to take some pictures of what I did. Just clean the surface before mounting with leds. They have good 3M tape on them. For the pass side I got a spool of 18 Guage wire to run the wires from the pass side leds through the back of the inside of the cave and tucked it away to run online with the driver side. All wiring is splices together and runs off the little parking brake bulb socket wiring. I didn't install the little bulb back. Don't need it.

ah.. are you talking about the footwell bulb? the 74 bulb size? I took the bulb out, but replaced it with the VLED footwell strips for driver/passenger. That light does not come on for me when unlocking. Only the opening/closing of doors. I'll double check, but i am pretty sure the unlocking didnt turn on my lights. until i opened doors.

@TundraTSS19 nvm.. i just got back from lunch and tested it while at the truck.. you was right.. the footwell lights do come on when the car is unlocked. Thats cool though. Now i know what to tap into. certainly I wont over load it.. Just hit me up when you get a chance on the lights you used, or something similar. Thanks!

btw, this is what i used inside for the footwell bulb.. looks great. https://www.vleds.com/vehicle-speci...undra-interior/footwell/tundra-fwk-front.html

That makes me feel better. Did the Amazon thing.. Hoping I have everything before I tear everything apart.. Lol
Another competitor has a YouTube video .

Is there a specific orientation to the bulbs before I button everything up ?

The little parking brake bulb socket has the power and ground you need. I just took the bulb out and tapped into that and ran all the wiring to it on the driver and passenger side. The leds don't use hardly any power. Works great.

The factory dust cover is all you need. You don't have to modify it because the black mounting tab removes from the bulb so you can mount it and place the cover over top of it before inserting the bulb.

I am going to see if i can trace the wire and find out where it goes and tap into it somewhere else. I utilize the socket for the footwell strips. what kind of lights did you use on the outside? just some cheap strips or something durable?
