I'm no expert, but I'm inclined to say yes. There are a fair amount of guys on here running that size with a 3/1 coil over lift.

Oh yeah, but I would get some spacers with those rims. They'd be rubbing on the UCA's like crazy at that width.

I've got a 2015 CM that I'm trying to do the same with. I currently have a 3in level with 255/70r18 and after talking to CJ from here, I want to 4in block the rear and put a 3in spacer in the front. If you go with 35'something you should post some pics so I can see what it looks like.

4 inch block in the rear? That's going to give it a pretty big (and noticeable) rake. If that's what you want, I'd go with shackles being its a much safer option than blocks (especially one that big)

If I can't run 35x12.5x20, what would be the best size to run?

You should be able to with a 3/1 and decent offset (18-35 should do it)

I would go to a local tire shop you trust and get a test fit. Most 35's aren't even a true 35"

Agree with Law. You can fit 35s on a 3" or 4" lift with some minor cutting of plastic and possibly the cab mount chop (CMC) but....
you will need to add 1.25" wheel spacers to the factory wheels. They have an offset of +60. With the 1.25" wheel spacer you will be at +20 which is a perfect offset to not stick out too far but look good.

Went with 4in Ready Lift, 285x65rx20 on stock TSS rims, had to trim skid plate about 1in on both ends. No rubbing, love the way it came out.

Good choice! I'm running that size on stock rims with a 3/1 and a TRD skid plate, and didn't have to cut anything. I'm surprised you had to trim your skid plate, but maybe the TRD is shaped differently.
