Hello room ,so i got a question . Right now i drive a chevy truck but interested in the toyota tundra. I haul monster pumpkins for venues all over the united states and also carve them . What is the hauling rate for the truck and also the pulling weigh . Last year i was in a newspaper for carving these giant pumpkin and the following week i did a news segment pulling a 1500 lbs pumpkin for a pizza place. This is the truck i was looking at last year . Like the color . Me standing next to a 1900 lbs

    Welcome from Colorado

You can pull around 10,000 pounds. I believe you can carry 2,000 but don’t quote me on it. Check the Yota website.

Double Cab may be better for you, longer bed, thinking a bit more weight capable too.

    Welcome to the party!!

You should look for a used Inferno colored Tundra. The orange would go great with your pumpkins.

Off topic, this made me think of Connor. @Thegr8punkin

So, my 2018 long bed double cab has a 1600# payload rating in the bed, with a little yellow sticker on the door jam stating that the payload of my vehicle has been reduced, due to (unknown) modifications, by a few pounds(my 2011 Tacoma has the same sticker). I noticed some short beds Tundras have a 1650# rating or so. My assumption is they share the same suspension bits, but the long bed must weigh a tiny bit more, subtracting from the overall payload by 50#s or so. I believe payload in the bed is not a strong point for Tundras. I think my 2001 Ford Ranger 2wd had a similar capacity as the Tundra, about 1600#s, and my 2011 Tacoma regular cab is rated at nearly as much, at 1350#s in the bed. I rarely touch 1000#s, so it works well for me. FYI, some other half ton truck brands are over well 2000#s of capacity in the bed...

So, it seems the 4.6 has higher payload, but lesser towing. The 5.7 has lesser payload, but better towing.

Welcome from South Carolina. My 2015 SR5 TRD DOUBLE CAB load capacity is 1795lbs. Tow capacity is 10200. But I had bad squat with a 7500 lb. trailer so i added helper springs.
