Does anyone else get surface scratches like this on their interior easily? If so, is there anyway to get rid of them?

Yup it scratches easily. It helps if you keep it lubed up with some type of protectant. I use 303 aerospace protectant.

I tried dark gray shoe polish. It’s a semi permanent fix. If it doesn’t match perfectly you can always remove it by using a mild spray cleaner like simple green.

This, A protectant will lubricate/protect it and possibly diminish some of the ugliness.

Wet sanding with very fine grit sandpaper may help get rid of them but also smooth out the given texture.

    Good Luck!

Careful with the wet sanding. When I first bought my truck I got a few scuffs on the rear panel. I rubbed on it too hard and it started taking the color off of the panel on all the high spots. To where it started to look green or white. The dealer replaced it for me as a favor.

Sometimes they can be burnished with something like a #3 Philip's screwdriver. I've also used the edge of a spoon and being VERY careful, a warm/hot spoon. If you go the hot route find a piece of plastic to test first. You want just enough heat to help smooth the raised edge of the scratch.

Kind of reminds me of the heat gun trick for faded black exterior trim, hmmmm.

The door panels are molded in color meaning they are black all the way through. The color will not sand off, but you will sand off the grain and increase the gloss in that area.
Since they are PP material they are soft, flexible and can scratch easily. The white/green marks are stress marks from over bending the material.
There are painted and film decorative garnishes on doors, but generally molded in color is used as is is more durable. Painting over plastic adds cost, process time, and potential for more defects (molding +paint)
I have managed OEM interior door liner suppliers for several years.

Here's a thread posted a few days ago with the same concern.

Yes...it kinda takes away from the beauty of owning an upgraded interior. Nice ass leather...junk ass plastic. I have a door that looks about the same. Not thinking about it, I reach down to grab my gloves from the door pocket and scratch the plastics with my wedding ring. EVERY TIME....no joke

Because Toyota interior is JUNK. I've had three Toyotas, a 2010 Prius, a 2018 Corolla and a 06 4Runner. Toyotas plastic sucks so hard. You even look at it wrong and it gets scratched!

I am a truck driver and we had Kenworth semi trucks that used textured plastic panels and I could try to dig my fingernail into the plastic panels and never get a scratch. Trucks with 200k miles through slip seat drivers that treat the vehicles like trash still barely had any damage to the plastic panels.

My 2018 Corolla at only 25K miles when I got rid of it (thank god) had the interior plastic panels that looked like hell and it was a lease I treated it very gently. There was also a lot of other little quirks and burned out lights the car went through in such a new car and low time. Thats when I knew it was my last Toyota, they are really going downhill.

My Prius "premium" leather seats literally disintegrated in around 80k miles, touch screen died at 60k, when it gets less than 20 degrees outside, my entire dash won't even come on till it warms up(known issue), main hybrid battery died at 80k miles, engine was eating oil at 90k on the odo had to increase the weight of the oil so it doesn't (known issue, they issues a recall for the Camry but not the Prius even thought they use the same engine and have the same piston design flaw causing very excessive oil consumption!).

My 4Runner's engine completely grenaded the engine at 65k miles which was covered under the extended warranty I got. What can I say, I'm done with Toyota, they just have burned me soo many times.

TRD Air Filters, Front door windows tinted to match the rears. Wheel locks, Talons Garage cat shield, Tyger Automotive soft tonneau cover, WeatherTech floor mats with Tuff Skinz Custom Emblem kit, Toyota OEM Emblem Black Out kit. AVS vent covers on all four doors, Red Tundra letters on front bumper & TRD highlighted in Red on front grille. Tailgate Tundra Letters in Black.
I always use Trim Shine it’s not like Armor All it doesn’t attract dust and it doesn’t gum up. It’s also not a high gloss either.

Was going to suggest "neutral" color shoe polish. Saw earlier post regarding gray color shoe polish as well. I have used the neutral on several places in interior finish with varying levels of success. (Love it on the soft door panel areas near interior grab handle. ) Definitely test a small area first. Buff it with soft bristle brush and finish with soft cloth. I sometimes follow up with a light wipe of protectant like Meguira's interior or similar. Only warning is that it does tend to "shine" most areas to some degree like the name suggests it should. Matte finish areas haven't always turned out as well as I hoped they would, but it is removable with some cleanser and elbow grease.
