Wow, is there a wealth of information, knowledge, and probably some BS on this forum. I have to say it can definitely consume a bit of time just scrolling through. This is gonna get expensive, I can see that!
I figured, just for fun, I would generate my own wish list of mods/additions that I think would make this into my ultimate off-road/camping/overlanding rig. Some of the ideas may not suit everyone’s taste. Some of the ideas are crazy expensive, or for that matter, may not be available where I live. These are just ideas and are subject to change...and knowing myself, change many times, maybe even before I finish the list. Also, some of these ideas will overlap or not work together and I understand that.
Do I know what I’m doing? Heck no! Am I a mechanic, machinist, fabricator, or anything automotive related? Not even close. That being said, I am definitely an enthusiast who is willing to give it a go, and see what I can do. My background is construction, I am a journeyman electrician, so hands on stuff doesn’t scare me. Doing something on my own that could jeopardize the safety of my family is a big concern moving forward, so some of these ideas are gonna be left with the experts.
Just for some background, this truck is not my daily driver, it is going to be a purpose built rig intended to get my family out of the city and off grid for weekends and/or vacations. Also, I think it will be fun to do, albeit not necessarily practical.
    Let’s get started.
    ARB Summit series bumper—purchased
    Warn Zeon Platinum 12S winch—purchased
Dual swing rear bumper to mount two spares. Expedition One?
Topper vs bed rack? I have gone back and forth on this one too many times to mention.
    Pro grill and hood bulge—purchased
    LED headlight upgrade—ordered
    @iHacker wiring harness—ordered
    Rock sliders
    Skid plates
    Dual battery setup. Redarc?
    Onboard air compressor. ARB twin
    Fridge/freezer. Snomaster?
Least amount of lift/suspension upgrade to fit tires(35 vs 37)
    17” wheels. Icon?
    Rear ARB air locker
    Front ARB air locker
