I need some wiring help. Installed a fog light system in my sisters car last night. I can’t get them to light. Runs on a separate switch. I have the inline fuse for it powered by a empty fuse spot under the dash(kit came with small spade connector to put in there) then I need to tap the power wire to the switch next to the one I just put in for the fogs.

The issue is I tried to get the switch to light the fogs to see if the fogs will light just from the power coming from the fuse connection thinking it would even if I didn’t tap the power from the other switch.
Is my issue because I haven’t tapped the power from the other switch? I just figured that was for the back lighting and the switch would still light the fogs.
