I have a 3rd Gen CM 4x4 TRD Offroad. Saw a gray TRD Pro and wanted to trade it in. Should I or not?

I just voted no, but then again a Pro would be nice. Trade in value vs Pro value, plus what do you really want??? If you want the Pro..Get it.

Yeah, it would probably be just because of the interior, bed stamp, and a little more travel. I guess I can always upgrade on my suspension.

The grey metallic Pros look real nice and they can go a lot places. Changed vote to "yes" Do it.

When I bought my 14' TRD Off Road Crewmax the TRD Pro wasn't even a rumor yet. I wanted a Rock Warrior so bad but it was better for me to buy new. Then what do you know, a few months later there is my unicorn.
I love my truck and really don't NEED the extra features of the Pro, but damn it I want them.
For financial reasons it's best that I stay with my current truck, so thats what I am going to do. Next Tundra I get, probably in 15 years haha, will hopefully be my unicorn.

You have a '15, buying a '17? Guess it really depends on what your truck is worth compared to what you owe on it. If that make sense, do it already. If not, wait a little bit unless you really want it, then just do it anyway, ha. I really wanted the TRD Pro, but realistically, I dont do any off road stuff, so the extra money for it wouldn't make sense for me. Maybe one day.

Love the color of that one. Be sure to sell your current TRDPro grill before you trade it in.
You'll also have the TRD exhaust, which IMO- is better sounding and less overplayed than your current flow master setup.
You have to do what will make you happy.

I voted yes since its not my money, but if you can live w/o the bed stamps you can turn your truck into something better than a pro for a lot less $$ IMO!

    I have a question. Please.
What do you people do for a living? The Tundra is a superb product and very expensive. How do people afford them?
Our family is not poor or well to do either, just above getting by.
    Just curious.
    Thanks.

Personally, I save up for what I want to do to my tundra. If I can't afford it, I don't do it until I can. Other things take precedence shelter, food, gas, family, etc. I got my tundra because I needed a highly reliable truck right at that moment (my last truck literally had its wheels fall off LOL) and could afford a note each month so looked for a couple of months and with nothing to trade in, it was tough finding something that fit my budget at the time, but was able to get my hands on a low mile, certified used truck and haggled them down a few thousand. Mine was two years old with 25K miles on it when I bought it.

Absolutely! I don't count anyone a man if they put what they WANT in front of their family. That's pathetic to me.

Yeah, but wait til you have 2 kids Law...
Dance lessons for a year= no Toytec lift for me
Gymnastics for a year= no 35's on Methods for me
Swim lessons for a year= no sliders for me
New rollerblades= no color matched handles for me
Trampoline in backyard= no Pro grille for me
And then it all repeats next year.

All I get is some plastidipped parts and a pop and lock for the tailgate. :(

OP, if getting a Pro is what's going to make you happy, and you can swing it financially, just f'ing do it. Especially before you have kids. Personally, I would put that extra money towards fixing up your current truck. I would rather have something like @Sean266 's truck over a Pro anytime.

LOL that's why I'm trying to get my truck done before kids!!
And there's no way in hell I'm getting my kids a trampoline! If that saying is true "you get a kid twice as bad as you were". Trampolines bring back one single memory for me. Thinking it would be a good idea to move the trampoline between the house and the in ground pool and jumping from the roof, onto the trampoline, into the pool at age 8. Fun as hell, but now I look back at the things I did and wonder how in Gods name I'm alive and/or not seriously disabled (not counting my mental limitations) LOL

My vote is no because you can upgrade your suspension and make it better than the pro. Now if its the color you have to have, wait a year and it will be available on the TRD offroad for less than the Pro.

100%, if I had a pool and trampoline when I was a kid, I no doubt would have tried the "off the roof, onto trampoline, into the pool" stunt.

Yep, my mom put a stop to that when she found out what we were up to when a buddy of mine back then hit the trampoline wrong and it launched him across the pool and about broke his back hitting the other side of the pool Hahahaha I swear to this day, he skipped across the water at least once before impact!
Needless to say I got my ass tore up and had to ask permission plus get supervision to jump from then on LOL

I'd venture to bet money most of the guys on this forum would too! LOL

I'm finally coming to the realization that I'm getting too old for crap like that. Last week my daughter asked, "Daddy, can you do a backward roll into a handstand?" I was like, "Psssttt, ofcourse... who can't do a backward roll into a handstand?" So I squat down, roll backwards, into a handstand... left arm locks straight, right arm collapses under the weight of my fat ass, I fall sideways and fall onto my younger daughter and accidentally kick her in her leg really hard!! She starts crying. I get up, my neck feels like it's broken, can't turn my head left, and I think I retore my rotator cuff.

Lol! Us dads always rough house and unintentionally injure the children. I was showing my 3 y/o last week how to slide down the stairs on a blanket at high speeds :anonymous:
