Sorry for the Ding the first is always the hardest. Mine was someone's key to the door.

Anyways, I came from an '06 Taco and it is definitely something new seeing an oil gauge. Yes it is supposed to move. Remember in Taco's there is the Oil Light, same thing, now its a gauge. The more throttle the more oil pressure is needed to properly lube all components. And if the gauge is "L", aka Low, STOP DRIVING!!!!!

Oh, and side note on the skid plate...on my Taco the technician totally removed my skid plate one oil change (no reason, there was sufficient room to access the drain plug), and to my astonishment he put the skid plate back on the truck missing 1 bracket completely. The skid plate was totally cockeyed. I always check my truck(s) after service. So I went back to the dealer and showed them...the guy threw the bracket in the trash thinking it was junk. I was able to recover the bracket and told them to never remove a skid plate. They requested to reinstall it themselves, I told them to go f*** themselves, and installed it myself....again.
