If I look out thru the rain, I can see this truck in the driveway. So, "19 SR5 DC SB 5.7 FFV TRD OR package MGM 4WD with 75 miles on her (had to drive a ways to get one). I paid way under sticker with almost no haggling, and got them to throw in some stuff including the center console upgrade to the one with the steel safe inside (Southern Toyota Dist exclusive IIRC).

Two small defects : NAV SD card missing so NAV doesn't work - we noticed this on the test drive and I was promised one ASAP. Today I was programming what few FM stations I still listen to, but FM reception was nil. Looked out the window and noticed there ain't no antenna! Just a little threaded plastic placeholder screwed in there - so they owe me an antenna (I got the stubby one y'all like ordered tonight). UPDATE: the antenna was on the floor in the back, along with the bed rail clamps and the front plate holder. Oops. THANKS DAN!

I've only driven it home from the dealer so far, but two first impressions were 1. ditch this lane departure crap ASAP, and 2) wow this thing hauls butt compared to the old Taco! Love the LED lights, it was raining and foggy driving home on a 2-lane twisty by Lake Lanier where deer might mosh into your vehicle at any second, and I could see great. Getting my iPhone paired and music going was easy to figure out, and it was a nice drive. The suspension is a little firm unloaded with the TRD package, Bilsteins etc. If I ran over a cigarette butt I could tell you if it had a filter - NO not that bad, just kidding. I like it tight.

Today I didn't even drive it - gray skies and wet weather, meh. Got my nose thru the manuals and figured out the settings, and massaged them to fit me sitting in the driveway. There's a few things I going to have to use the techstream or whatever to change, belt chimes and a couple other dealer settings changes.

Monday I'm hooking up my boat and going fishing 2 hours away. The lakes here are mud holes, with water so high that many ramps are closed, so I'm heading south. Its a light boat on a plain (no brakes) trailer, and the Tundra should make light work of it. Hell, my old 4-cyl Taco pulled it fine. I don't need the NAV or FM for that, no, I'll get the missing stuff from the dealer when I get back, plus whatever else I find.

Anyway, I've been reading the crap out of this forum. Two mods right away:
    1. color-matched chrome delete on the surround and bulge trim pieces.
    2. I need some boards. I was looking at the running boards/sliders/nerf steps picture thread, and am leaning toward the Go Rhino RB20.

More as I go.. hope this wasn't too boring.

2"CB shackles, bushings and 1 shim, lockerdown console vault, rear folding seat back mod, snugtop shell with opening side windows, 46g fuel tank, SDHQ sliders and hidden winch, Decked Drawers, Alcan leaf springs and got rid of the interior chrome
Congratulations on the new truck and welcome from Oregon!
You’re gonna be amazed at how easy she tows the boat.
Another mod for you to consider is the rear seat back fold down mod. Easy and free, allows access and use of the space behind your back seat.

Those look nice, but a little on the expensive side. Good stuff costs more, I reckon.

Sun is out today! Going to a friend's house in the country; he has a techstream system I need to make a couple programming changes. He also is not happy with his new Tacoma and wants to see & drive the Tundra.

Welcome from Idaho! I don’t think your boat will give your Tundra too much trouble. I pull a 20’ travel trailer with my ‘17 Tundra with absolutely no problem (10,000 miles on the trailer last year) and it looks like you’ve got the big motor which i don’t. Enjoy, i don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
