I just picked this TRD Limited Tundra up from a local auto auction and it started right up once I put a good battery in it. After trying to get it to drive in gear a few times I quit trying and I towed it home. Now it seems the security was tripped and I've tried a few tricks and nothing seems to work. I've had the key in the ON position and then connected the battery. Then I tried locking the doors, closing them, and unlocking the drivers door twice and then starting it. Still nothing. At the moment I have the battery disconnected and both leads touching to drain all power from the computer. I've been a mechanic my entire life and have never had an issue like this on any other vehicle before. I don't have a key fob so that's not an option right now.

yep bank account is running low from it..
Key must be in the off position and locked. If you have the key in the on position when applying power the security see a trip.

I've tried both ideas, I'm trying pretty much everything I can find online. I just put my YellowTop battery in it and the security light doesn't come on anymore but it still won't start. I'm about to try jumping the starter to see if maybe the ignition switch has failed. This Tundra has 385K miles on it so there's a lot worn out.
