Yeah the picture makes it look worse than it is, but it's real close. 1/8th inch probably.

I don't regret it, I like the 17 inch look. But they do stick out wider than I thought. Not a deal breaker though.

Also, if someone is really worried about that they could grind a bit of calliper down easy enough. I had to do that on another truck of mine to allow 15” wheels. Worked great.

I can’t seem to find the 17” offset of this wheel. You know what it is?

They said that the 17s would not work on our trucks even tho their ads are. It was a +1 offset. They said it would not clear the caliper. The guy in the ads is selling them. He has 37x13.5 tires on them...

Looks tight. I’m bed lining my truck quicksand so am seriously considering these wheels. I do like the way other rims look but can’t get in a 17 so gotta swing like this instead

@mgm16trdpro have you fit up your new Method 17s yet? I've been following all your new parts in "what have you done to your 3rd Gen today?" and wanted to see if you had any updates on the 17s fitment. Did you confirm with Method they will clear the calipers?

Was hoping you could update this thread for others looking to go 17s. I do like your rim choice, and I'm sure others will be intrested too.

Yes, that guy. He selling them for $2200. I wonder if he shaved his brakes to make them work. I really wanted those!

Fair enough. Grinding down brakes is minor. I’ve done it on different vehicles before. That’s a pretty steep investment if it’s doesnt work tho!

Usually returnable if you don't mount the tires on them. There's a big notice in the box usually. Always fit check a rim only first.

Easy boys just got em yesterday and I'm out all night snow plowing now. They will clear calipers from what I hear. I need to figure out a bumper shim issue. No worries, I spoke to Dave and they're on their way. They're going to require more than just throw on though. I'll update when I get into it. But it's gonna involve removing the factory threaded studs and welding in 2 inch grade 8 bolts. Once I do that with Dave's bumper shim kit I'm hoping either no or very little cutting of front bumper ends. Keep ur eyes peeled. Soon as I get the hardware hes sending today I'll be getting on it not long after. Of course I will update with pics and answer any questions as I always do. Trust me no ones more excited and nervous than me to get into it.

The new 313 methods I just got in 0 offset but also come in a +25 offset have nearly identical specs to icon. Which icon claims to make specific for our trucks. That told me by comparing specs that the methods I just got should work. If u compare say the method 313 compared to icon rebound, both in +25 offset, they are almost identical.

Titanium 25 offset. No body mount chop needed to run Duratrac 315/70/17 either. Just had to remove mud flaps and trim the plastic liner. Bilstein 6112 set at 1.9”

Hi all, I’ve got a 2017 2WD SR5. I have the ProComp Prorunner 2.5” leveling kit plus pro comp rear shocks I’m about to put on. Looking at 17x8.5 XD129 rims with +34mm offset paired with 285/70/17 Toyo AT II’s. Reading through this thread I’m a little concerned about the +34mm offset due to proximity of brake caliper. Do you guys foresee any issues? Thanks

Diameter and wheel design affect the caliper clearance. I guess offset can too if the inside diameter tapers. I'd call the manufacturer and ask. If they can't confirm, buy one at your local offroad shop and fit check it. Return if necessary.

Assuming they fit, do you think I could run a 305 tire? Only issue is the price between the 285 vs 305 is tremendous I’m finding.
Oh and I’m not a huge fan of the BMC.

Yeah that's a 33.8 inch tall 12 inch wide tire. Should be fine. I'm on a 35 by 12.5 at 2.2" lift. I had to trim some, but I'm 0 offset.

You may need to trim your skid plate with that offset.

I was able to fit 315/70/17 without needing to do bmc. Just trim skid and liners and remove mud flaps
