I love the look of that bumper. Would be nice to have the lights and steps as well. Do the lights tie into your rear lights, or separate control?

That's close, and probably the best I have seen however, not quite all the way there...too bad they didn't get the height right...I can see the spare tire through the large gap below the tailgate...no thanks...I bet it is really noticeable on colors other than black...

I thought the same thing about the "gap" or space then realized that Toyota simply put the inch or so plastic trim that goes vertical from the step pads that covers up that gap on the factory bumper. I like the Rough Country rear bumper but would have to fabricate something to cover that gap. It would probably be really easy to come up with a solution that looks neat.

Are the step grills/tread riveted on or held on with bolts? Can't tell from the pics. Was thinking of painting the rear bumper Sky Silver to match my truck and leaving the step grills/tread black.

Looks good, but what about license plate lights? I don't see any. I know in Texas you have to have a light on your plate.

Close up on either side of the lisc plate looks to be small LED pods that shine down and illuminate.

Not sure why companies think disabling a safety feature is a good idea. The BSM saves my truck when the wife drives it

Not all Tundras are equipped with BSM. Its not so much disabling as they havent designed their equipment to work with higher end models equipped with such features.

Plus if they don't design it for BSM they take liability away from them if something were to happen. Even Toyota had issues early on with the rear bumpers and BSM that they had to issue a stop sale and recall for.

This is something that a lot of owners are looking for. Even Toyota has disclaimers in the Owners Manual (hundreds if not thousands) for the new TSS feature alone. There will be a company that steps up with a good design for all features

Didn't even notice it not having lights for license plate. The little led pods in stewtopia's picture is probably because of that.

@stewtopia, can you confirm that those are led pods? If they are, and come with the bumper, I might have just found my new rear bumper.

They say it does have license plate lights. I'm seriously considering getting one of these.

I just finished a chat with someone from the Rough Country website and they do not come with lights for the plates.

I like that bumper but if it does not have plate lights I would hate to drill holes for light and now have a potential spot for rust to start.
