Are you concerned about leaks or anything? Or is it water tight?

Anyone have any experience using 80/20 aluminum products? My friend just bought a Prinsu rack, and it looks like the cross bars are basically made of 80/20 rails. I am considering making my own rack to go on top of my diamondback cover.

Of course I’m worried about leaks, lol. Too late now though! We sealed it with silicone.

Obviously lol but with the silicone, it seems pretty water tight I’m assuming. I wonder if flex seal would work LOL

Bed racks are so damn expensive for what they are, i'm currently building mine, should have it done by this weekend i'll post some pics. If you have a welding machine, parts shouldn't be more than $100.

    Does anyone have any measurements?
    On either a pre-fab one
    Or one they’ve built?
Looking to just do some simple cross bars.
I’d like to build my own and just wondering if anyone had their old plans or some measurements to give me a good idea of where to start and how much material to buy and to determine the cost.

    Thanks!
