Made my bumpers and trim plastics look like new very pleased with how it turned out, completely free for me too all it took was a heat gun and a lot of time.

I do not but it looks nice. Mine was a lot cheaper but not nearly as nice. My regret is not getting one that also recorded rearward. Keep that in mind.

Meh, I wouldn't worry about it...Toyota trusts Denso to make plenty of OEM parts for them, so there is that...

I specifically asked him about remanufactured parts and he wasn't familiar with them.

I agree. The OEM alternators and starters on these trucks are made by Denso and last a very long time. Clearly they are doing something right. I don't know what this guy's deal was. I found the entire conversation to be very odd.

Denso is known specifically for their fine electronic components that last a long time.

    Yeah looks interesting.

Main reason I like it is that it has LTE service and sends alerts to your phone at the time of an incident. And if someone breaks in the footage is uploaded to the cloud so no worries if they steal the camera. And if they steal the camera OWL will replace it for free.

Yeah buddy. SuperNova LED Froglights and replacement side markers are arriving tomorrow and Thursday, respectively.

About once every winter, I get the opportunity to model my free neck warmer from Toyota for my 2002 purchase. It can convert into a beanie/doo cap. Multi-functional.

I'm surprised you didn't request OEM Toyota Gloves to protect your money earners. That's a big risk you're taking by working with your hands so much.

Yeah. Gotta live on the edge at some point in ones life. Figured since the stage lighting set accident, I’d go ahead and start taking chances. Can’t get worse than some age skin spots.

Frame plates are pretty easy to make I made mine out of 1/4” plate for mine from the firewall foreward. Also consider adding an extra crossmember under the bed I really noticed my frame being stiffer when I did that. Where is the frame bent at? It might be easier to cut it off and make new rails for the rear depending on the location and severity of the damage.

Id like to get a little power back after mounting the 285/75’s. The power loss is minimal but I can tell she likes to downshift quicker than before. Hope these will help some and I can delay 4.56’s till I need to put a locker in.

First thing, when the 285’s went on the 02’ years ago, the noticeable difference was the transmission shifted into the higher gears faster. I don’t remember much downshifting quicker. Just the high acceleration gear bog effect from heavy tires. Now the gears hold longer with the new injectors. I think this is the biggest thing going for them.

It will be interesting to see your opinion and how the injectors perform on 5 spd. vs. 4 speed earlier gens.

I assume you spoke with Keith? His Tundra is a later 1st Gen from what I remember. You typed 270cc. Is that for the newer 1st Gens? Believe I have the 250cc and wonder if the difference is in the vvti.

Hope they work out for you. They make a small difference and there is nothing earth shattering, but for sure they changed my gearing shifts. Towed a bit this week and the shift points are really different in comparison to towing previously. Been messing a bit with the O/D on and off to experiement with things.

My MPG may be down this week due to towing and idle times and messing around where last week was easy driving.

Truck is parked outside and the windshield keeps getting frozen with snow. It’s also facing north so it doesn’t melt quickly. And, with the lack of heat at idle issue, it doesn’t defrost easily.

So I got one of these and installed it - and it snowed today. Perfect fit too!

33.4"x11.6" I could only find maybe 5 tires in this size. I went with Cooper AT3xlt which is basically the same as the ATP and AT3 except is has a more agressive MT-like sidewall.

    Edit I meant 295/75r16

neighbors 99 4runner did the ever famous pink milkshake when he was coming back from the airport, Trans is toast... making me think about bypassing the OEM trans cooler and run a massive stack plate cooler in front of the radiator. (with an inline thermostat), Thoughts? i am planning on taking this tundra cross country to pickup another project if all goes will with the body repairs
