Ok, so I hate that Weatherboots.com doesn’t appear to be in business any more as I believe they were the best but it is what it is.

Looking for something stiff that won’t leak melted snow onto the carpet. The above seem to be th two best options. Which do people prefer and why??

    Thanks!

What about the factory rubber weather mats? They have deep grooves. I just bought a set from someone on FB for $25 front and rear.

I chose husky liner due to the coverage. Seems to have more surface coverage over the weather techs. Specifically I chose husky weatherbeaters over the x act contour model because of more coverage. Most guys seem to go with the x act contours but I’m in Wisconsin and I wanted as much covered as possible

Not enough coverage on the factory ones that I have seen - thanks for the info on the husky’s.

While I do like weathertech and have used them since they were a startup. I can't justify the cost anymore.

Threw some Huskys in the taco and the jeep and am pleasantly surprised with them.

I went with the Husky’s and love them. The factory’s set, particularly the front mats, just don’t have the coverage. Salt/dirt/grim is able to get between the outer edge of the mat and the door sill, where the Husky’s cover over most of the sill.

I had Weather Tech in my Sienna and learned the hard way that due to their stiffness they can be permanently deformed and the edges will curl up. They Husky’s are much more flexible and keep their shape.

I’m happy with my Weathertech, but I don’t spend any time in the passenger seat either.

The weathertechs come with snap on oval pads with spikes for the passenger side. It will still move but you’ve got to work at it.

Husky X-act are better than the Weather Techs my opinion. They have deep grooves and they have the studs on the back side of the entire mat, they stay in place

    Thank you @Sunnier :fistbump:

@TedFromOhio I have Husky X-Act Contour myself and prefer them, but WeatherTech also makes great mats.

X-Act are a softer and heavier rubber mat.
WeatherTech are somewhat flexible, somewhat firm.
Weatherbeater are a more firm plastic feel.

^ All three are custom molded for a perfect fit, they'll all protect the carpet underneath, really the big difference is the feel of the material in my opinion.

I'd get husky if I did it over. The weather tech aren't very impressive. They seems flimsy and move around a bit. I had to get anchors for the front passenger side. It would move around and then get all bent. They are a headache imo lol

Husky and Weathertech are both good mats. However through significant experience on fleet vehicles, not just a single experience, I would vote Husky X-act contour for overall best option.

Do the Husky X-Act contour have more coverage than the weatherbeaters?

When I looked online it looked like they had about the same coverage. It’s just kinda hard for me to justify an extra $60 for a slightly different material if the fit and coverage is the same. :worthless:

You said you wanted a harder material but Im another vote for Husky X-Act. The soft rubber is nice on the feet and doesnt slip around. I have had my truck in rain and snow a lot and my carpet still looks brand new. Of all the things I have added to my truck, these legitimately might be my favorite.

Husky X-Act very nice fit. nice and sturdy so when you do spill and remove the mat is dose not bend/fold and spill all over the carpet....

I used husky liners in the past and I just ordered a set for my 1794. I chose the xact because they are rubber and when you're old and broke they allow your shoes to grip and you can adjust yourself. Where as for me, again old and broke, I like to busted a knee cap on a friends weathertechs when my boots slid up under the dash somewhere when I tried to adjust myself in the seat. The husky liners saved my carpet on 3 separate occasions of careless passengers that are now only allowed to ride in the bed of my trucks.
