These are good. Plenty strong enough for our trucks. I just didn’t like how they had the wrong breaking strength and called them “unbreakable”. And cost double of other shackles the exact same strength.

This is the 7T WLL shackle that I sprung. The pin will only go in this far without forcing.

Oh well, used it for many years, side loading (this is what caused its demise). D6D460D4-82AC-48E7-BD05-EFF08900440D.jpg

For all your shackling needs with some great tech articles.

Don't buy the cheap stuff for the sake of having something with you. It could potentially kill you or a loved one when things go wrong. Spend a tiny bit more and get quality proven equipment.

Any on recovery/tow straps? Looking to buy a couple to keep in my tundra. Looking to make a recovery kit with straps, shackles, tree saver, etc.

Dang, thanks for adding the pic. The alloy shackles are even stronger than the ones I use now.

I'd like to know too. Especially if anyone had any links to Canadian retailers.

I was looking at this for a recovery strap.

I bought Gear America shackles, they're pretty heavy duty to me. I looked at that same strap. I ended up buying the Rhino USA one cause it was on sale.
