Read through many threads and came across one where someone put 305/55/R20 on stock wheels. No rubbing or cutting. Is that correct? New to forum

A little of this and a little of that.

If you read it on here then someone probably did do it. People doing all kinds of stuff, doesn't mean it's ok though.

    Welcome from Sin City

Welcome from KC, MO that is. I know your struggle. I read countless threads on here about tire fitment before getting mine. Bottom line is every truck is different, and there are so many factors involved that affect what works and what doesn't for all of them, it's not safe to make a general statement on the subject, especially when you're talking an otherwise stock setup. If you were lifted 6", then you could make some assumptions lol. That said, the best you can do is learn the differences between your current and planned tire sizes, check your existing clearances with your tires turned at all angles, and look up the actual dimensions of the tire you want directly on the manufacturer's website. Then, divide equally on both sides of the wheel, the differences in diameter and width between tire sizes and subtract those numbers from your existing clearances. It's a lot of math, but it'll settle your mind a lot more than making assumption about what worked for others.

... Or, if you happen to have a friend with a tundra who has the setup you're after, you could always see if he/she would do a test swap for you. :p
