What perch are you running the 5100's in the front? Do have spacers up front too? Or just the 5100's?

3rd perch so 1" setting. No spacer, just the 5100 coilover. I should probably add that to the first post haha

I've heard recommended to never go above the 2nd perch, so what has your experience been like on the 3rd perch? How long have you been running it? How does it ride?

Rides fantastic. My 4runner has kings up front and this drives almost as good. When I get the rear lift I'll probably bump up to the 4th perch depending on how tall the rear sits.

Finally got around to more clearance on the truck. We rubbed a stupid flap of inner fender liner that was annoying, so we cut that bitch off. Everywhere you don't see black paint is where we rubbed. You can still see pinch weld sticks out a tad.
    IMG_20181125_103851.jpg IMG_20181125_103846.jpg
So we pounded like crazy until it was all flat!
    IMG_20181125_121341.jpg
Added more paint, so now we'll see if we rub anymore or not. Where I'm pointing is where we will need to cut fender more. We just ran out of time today. We might just remove the fender flare, cut both flare and fender and reinstall.
    IMG_20181125_132230.jpg
And we installed our wheelers super bumps!

Wow. Really happy my truck went into good hands.

Tell me I want to know! Lol.

Anyway, have fun with her. She'll probably never break down on you, ever.

Hey man!! Yeah we absolutely love this truck. I've owned 4runners and Tacomas and this is by far the best vehicle. We have big plans for it. Thanks for taking care of it!

In that picture my husband was scanning it to make some sliders ;)

I like where the build is going! Any plans on locker(s)? If so, which?

It’s nice SDHQ finally has their hands on a First Gen! I used to live in Chandler. Now I’m in Kansas City. I miss the desert. Hopefully we will back in 5 years or so.

More than likely, just not sure which one yet. When we add a locker we plan to regear which won't be for another year or two.

And yeah I doubt they'll do much with it though because they like their newer stuff. Are you doing Tundras to Sedona next year or is it too far now?

These trucks are amazing off road with a rear Locker. I went with the ARB air Locker when I had my truck regeared for 35s. The plus side of having an air Locker over other locker options is having an air compressor. I use mine all the time. Inflating tires, operating Air Tools, or even blowing out the dust out of my air filter.

I can only imagine. My 4runner has a factory e locker and even that makes a difference.

Yeah i bet that was nice!!

A buddy of mine has an ARB for the rear in his and it sure is nice. But it always seems to leaking somewhere. Still gets the job done but seems to be leaking every time we’ve gone out.

Another option im looking at is the Harrop E Locker. Little more expensive on the locker side, no compressor needed, just ground and 12v. (I have a portable Viair that I have in the tool box for airing up).

    Maybe one day...

Sounds like your buddy needs to redo his air line. I have a tank connected to my compressor. If I fill my tank to use my locker one weekend it still has plenty of air to use the locker the following weekend without turning on the compressor. I haven't heard of the Harrop E Locker. But I haven't heard the best things about E lockers on 8 cylinder vehicles. Something about to much torque. Everybody that I know that has an e Locker has it on a 4 or 6 cylinder vehicle.

Huh. I haven't heard this. Several on here have a locker. I'm planning ARB, for the air compressor benefit, when the time comes. For the '02.

outside of having the benefit of a air compressor. ARB makes one of the strongest lockers on the market.

Did some stuff in preparation for Glamis this new years. My husband had to fix our hitch so we could tow (some parts were rusted out) and we changed the spark plugs as well as adding some beefy battery terminals from SDHQ. We also finally installed my ram mounts motorcycle arm mount and Mob Armor. Just little things for now since it's the holidays. I'll post pictures of our Glamis trip, it'll be our first time towing with the Tundra!

Added a Deaver AAL and it gave me almost exactly 1.5" of lift. It also stiffened the ride a little but I love it. Stock leafs were just too soft for daily driving. I can't wait to test it out and tow with it.

Finally got a camper shell! It's blue steel metallic but it's pretty close to the blue marlin pearl. It needs a little TLC but we got it for cheap. We already have ideas going for the camping build out :bananadance:

Kept my overloads because I do occasionally tow. And it actually rides alot nicer than I thought. I was prepared for a shitty rough ride and it's not. Even with no weight in the rear.

Installed the TC uppers. Kind of a pain because they require you to trim some of the coil buckets. But for half off retail price I can't complain.
