So I finally started to Mod my Truck.

I think my truck was built by two workers, one who liked chrome, and a worker who hated it. It has 20" chrome wheels, chrome emblems, chrome steps but black handles, grill and black mirror caps.

So this weekend I embraced the chrome and went uniform.

Thanks to @fairclothr1 and @TXTundraSC for the great deals they gave to me and thanks to @BuckWallace for the free emblems that replaced my sun damaged ones.

I also had the original TSS logo that was heavily sun faded, so I replaced that with the newest version and I think it really modernizes the truck.

    So..before:

    Damaged/New emblems:

    Used grill insert:

    Debadged:

    After and complete:

Also added some Sylvania Zevo LED tail lights and they are fantastic bright and the instant on is sexy.

Nice! Did you do the 3157R ZEVO bulbs? I was going to do those as well but haven't seen much feedback on them in a Tundra.

    Left is zevo, right incandescent

You may already be aware & didn't see mentioned, but red LED bulbs in the brakes turn out better than white, IMO. The white LED bulbs are less red thru red lenses than incandescents, almost orange(ish). Red LEDs thru red lens illuminate Deeper Red.

Yup, that I knew. I was more interested in their overall performance. I haven't seen much on them from my trusted Tundra brothers and sisters here. One thing I had read and I don't recall whether it was here or somewhere else was that the ZEVO was not a CK bulb and that resulted in tails and no brakes or vice versa.

I have had good luck with these for almost a year now. Surely not the best out there, but definitely better than stock and affordable.

Honestly have not spent much on any of my LEDs, and they have all worked well about a year in......

It’s the OEM platinum grill insert, I took it out of my chrome housing and put it into a rock warrior color matched grille!

For second gen Tundras we don’t need the CK bulb type as we only have dim for when headlights are on and bright for brakes. 2014+ models I believe have the turn signal integrated into it so they need the CK so all three function correctly. Bonus for us for having separate turn signals I guess.

Don’t know if you have oreillys in your area, but this is what I bought:

    https://www.oreillyauto.com/detail/...o-led-mini-bulb-pack-of-2/3157rledbp2/4743383

These are the 3157r for red LED

Was going to get the Tyger rock slider type steps but worried someone would catch their shoe in it or something. Went with these Tyger Riser steps instead. Love em!

Not yet, you have to buy resistors to make them not hyper flash. The auto parts stores sell wire-in resistors for $15/ea or replace the flasher unit under the dash.

I’m buying 2010+ rear housings because I like the square style and the reflectors look much better with LEDs than my curved 07’s

That's a good question. It was replaced by Safelite. How would you go about getting OEM? Dealership?
