Pat's SR5 Build

Little reluctant to refer to this as a real "build" since it's only a RWD truck, but I've done a few things to it now with plans for more, so what the hell? At the very least I'll have a place to document what I did and appreciate it.

Got myself an MGM SR5 DC a year ago that more or less looked like this off the lot.

Put on a TRD skidplate I got used.



How she sits now:

 

First thing I did was put in the TRD CAI.
And then put my foot to floor on all the empty backroads I could find that day.

 

Love the look of that CAI!

 

Put a custom paint job on my engine cover after that to get a little more red in the engine bay.

 

Lucky for me I don't have to worry about that for now.

 

I still do things to it all the time I just ignore her .....I tell her when she pays for the mods then she can tell me to stop

 

Switched the chrome grille and surround/bulge out for the color matched set and '18 sport grille.

 

I'll have to remember that to use for when its my time.

 

I have now sort of ran out of ideas of what else to do.....but I did just order this week the center console organizer and also the Dirtydeeds exhaust tip

 

You will have lots of ideas being on this forum I've been here in the forum for about a year now and I have done so many things to my truck this year

 

Stole @ToyotaTundraMike idea for the raptor style LED's. Wired them to the taillight circuit instead though. Getting that wire through the firewall grommet was the most frustrating thing I've ever done with a vehicle. Something that should have been so simple was such a pain in the ass.

Real happy with the result.

Those look good, maybe I'll have to buy an extra light and see how I like it.

 

Everywhere I look on here I see things I want to do to. Wish I had the money for it all, but hey, still cool seeing it either way.

 

I started most of my bigger mods now that truck has been paid for last thing I want to do now is 4.88 gears that's by next summer hopefully

Got some Rock Warrior wheels and 33" Terra Grapplers off craigslist and put them on today.

Lovin the extra rubber and there's no rub.

 

Stubby antenna on.



Also swapped chrome tailgate insert for black.



I think the slower colored tundra in the corner is starting to get jealous.

 

Bilsteins are in, hopefully have them on within the next few weeks.

 

Replaced the interior lights with LED'S, can tell they're way brighter even during the day.





Put a sticker on the back window too.

 

Weather's been to crappy to do much, but the truck did turn 55 today.

 

Got my Victory4x4 rock sliders this weekend and got 'em on as soon as I could. Turns out I've got the 38 gallon gas tank though, which was a pain to work around, just like they said it'd be. Figures. Love the sliders though. Only cussed a few times getting them on too.

 

Put a bottle opener in the bed to make tailgate sitting that much more enjoyable. Might just be my favorite addition yet.

 

Put in the Tufskinz console set and TVD radio decal. Also tried vinyl wrapping the dash trim pieces. Not perfect, but good for a first time I thought.

 

the pic with the wheels and 35's is that the stock suspension if so any rubbing. I have the same truck with 4100's set at the middle setting and have a shot at a set of RW wheels. Just wondering how big a tire I put with my current set up with no cutting .

 

My tires are only 33x11.5's, suspension is stock.

 

After months of procrastination, the Bilstien front 5100's mid setting with .25" Coachbuilder shims are finally on.



Might have to move up a tire size or two now though.
