I saw that one. It's what inspired me. But I want it to be like factory. Guages work and everything.

Not sure. I haven't dug in yet. Just toying with the idea.

No stick for the v8. So 10% would probably be a good guess for v6 only models. And how many were v6s? And how many of those were 4wd? I would be on the hunt for a 1% or maybe even 0.5% truck.

Had a 74’ Toy Corolla 5spd Hatchback. Fun little 4 banger that did some off road speed runs. Fun times.

    40mpg.

No way I’d go backwards to stick these days. Too lazy and there are too. Any crazy drivers on the road requiring me to have both hands on the wheel ready for invasive defensive driving.

On topic, prepping to begin body repair on the side doink. Tomorrows weather looks beautiful for it.

Well, I dipped the chrome bumper today and I can honestly say this is the first mod I've done that I don't like. It looks off...

The good news is that it can be removed.

    Thoughts?

1st Gen Tundras that are manual and 4x4 are very rare...I've only ever seen one. It was the guy that came to buy a cap from me that I had on my 2005 Tundra. I imagine it felt much like my 1998 Tacoma 2.7 4x4...which is to say not fast, but plenty powerful for a truck that size. The 3.4 is a decent motor and if you get back the power lost in the slushbox, it would be fine for that size truck...as long as you weren't towing heavy loads frequently.

Yoda: Luke, I warned you about getting to close to the ‘Darkside’.

In all seriousness, I like the chrome better. The wheels look good black. I liked the chrome on the mirrors better, too.

I like it. But I'm not a big fan of chrome. It ties in with the flares and grill nice. What if you went sport mode and did white?

    2 thoughts.
1: Dip the entire thing below the trim/beltline black for a two-tone look. Might be cool, might not, haven't seen one done yet.
    2: Dip the bumper white.
Either could work, but if you do either, dip the rear bumper to match, and again, if it looks bad, peel off and your out maybe $20.

Did the white bumper and it looks like butt.

Here is the two tone option#1.

Stop drillin' you just struck oil. That's perfect, just need to tape off the line past the trim and you are good to go.

If you do those, I think - consider doing the center inset of the bumper too. Ala Audi 'aint no center bumper here' style.
