This is on the rear window trim, it almost looks likes their holes, but its actually smooth, thoughts on how I should clean it, considering I'm not very detailing experienced, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Also what product do you guys use on the windshield cowl?

Same thing happened on my 05 tundra. I never could find anything to get rid of it or cover it up.

Maybe try this on a micro fiber towel and wipe it on they follow it up with a tire shine on a micro fiber towel also.

20190214_104206.jpg I tried this on mine but it didn't work. I probably waited too long to do something about it. Hope you find something to fix it.

This for sure. Use any all purpose cleaner to clean it as well as possible, then use this. It’s basically a dye, and will do the job better than anything at restoring faded trim. The bottle is small, but a few drops go a long way.

That said, it’s a restorer, not a protectant. To keep it from happening to begin with, I’d recommend Shine Supply Trim Shield. It’s expensive as hell, but it’s light years ahead of it’s competition. One bottle will do all your trim I’d say at least a dozen times over. I’ve used my bottle on several vehicles, and it’s still over half full. It won’t recolor as well as Solution Finish, but it’s in the ballpark, and lasts much longer.

    https://shinesupply.com/products/trim-shield

It acts like a sealant for your plastics, and conditions deep into the trim instead of just the top layer. This is a pic of it a week or so after putting it on my daughter’s Tundra. It wasn’t incredibly faded, but it did need some TLC:

My Tundra doesn't have this problem yet, BUT I fought with it on both of my Z cars.
While I never solved the issue on my '07 350, I did on my '10 370. I used 2k sand paper to lightly sand it and then used Mothers Back to Black trim cleaner. Took care of it for awhile.

Looking above, I'm buying and trying Shine Supply Trim Shield

My truck is a lot older but I recently painted 90% of my black plastic trim. Sand it, clean with alcohol, paint.

Just be thankful none of us drive an Avalanche. Everyone of those things ends up faded all over that plastic junk on the back. The people who own those use heat guns to fix it.

Cool. I think you’ll like it. I always hesitate to recommend it since it’s 50 bucks a bottle. Their Wise Guy Tire Cleaner is the best I’ve tried also.

I’m going to tackle this when it’s warmer. Instead of hoping it'll revitalize, I'm gonna try some black rub-on paint I have to make it uniform, then coat it with a water repellent gloss protectant.

I do the same with my paint. Black car polish (there's a few products before and after), ending with Collinite 845.
