CUSVIPER,,, Since you have done all this work on your truck I have a question for you or anyone that might know. I am thinking about adding the cat back dual exhaust to my new 19 TRD Sport 4x4 it already has the rear sway bar installed,,, would I need to take apart the rear sway bar to install the new dual exhaust? Thanks for your time.

I don’t have duals but if TRD pro dual then the sway bar is accounted for

Hey man, great looking truck. I was just curious what your thoughts are on the ceramic coating so far? Do you feel like it's worth the cost? What did you pay for it? I have a black truck as well and am getting ready for the fight to keep it clean.

It is a lot of money and probably will only do it this once since it’s a new truck. I was very surprised how scratched up it was right from the dealership. The polishing process took out all of the scratches, swirls and blemishes. The coating itself does keep the outside of the truck cleaner and reduces the swirls and scratches when washing each time. Typically in winter my truck looks white from all the mag chloride. It does still stick to the side of the truck now but much much less. The really cool thing about getting it done at Adams Polishes is that they make their own products and loaded me up with about $200-300 worth of product for free to help preserve the coating. I did get a deal but they said pricing is typically around $1200ish. They said it should last 180 washes or 1-3 years. They did say I could extend that by 5 years or so if I put on their spare on ceramic coating over the top every 6 months to a year.

I’m doing all the car washes myself. Trying hard to keep the swirls out. Bought a power washer with the Adams foam cannon. I do a good initial wash down to get the dirt and grit off then foam. I use the two bucket method to not spread any of the grim around. Add the ceramic boost every other wash and now will add the spray on ceramic coat every 6 months or so.

Kinda funny cause I used to wash my 2012 at an auto car wash only like 2-4 times per year.

man that sucks... this is reason #1 I gave up on being soooo adamant about cleaing and washing and waxing my truck. I detailed cars for 5 years and no matter how hard I tried on my own vehicle, others do not respect it. iv finally accepted that it is a truck, its gonna get dings and scratches..i wash it.. I wax it a couple times a year and ill do a good polish and seal before the winter months..thats the extent of it nowadays

So when i swapped by Radflo coilovers from my 2012 to my 2019 I discovered that a cap on the bottom of the shock body had unscrewed itself and was at the bottom of the shaft. I cleaned it up and screwed it on and didnt think much of it. Well i think dirt got up into the coilover because i started having issues with the shock. Decided to go ahead and get them rebuilt.

Found out that Toytec Lifts is training their shop employees on how to rebuild all of the rebuildable coilovers that they sell. Guess they all have experience with rebuilds so its just a refresher. Perfect timing. I was able to get some scratch and dent coilover spacers from them for my stock coilovers and swap them out during the rebuild. They said the total should be around $200 unless there are broken parts outside of the wear items.
