Looks good...thanks for the heads up...would be interested in a shot of the whole truck someday if you had the chance, to see how it looks.

Don’t you hate it when you have a large supply of something you like, and then something even better comes out? I will be using waxaddict for at least the next five years LMFAO I also have a gallon of 303 Aerospace.

I hope this holds up and is easier to apply to mud terrains than chemical guys VRP is. I'm ready for something different.

Can't go wrong with Optimum. Tire coatings are they way to go, as long as you prepare the tire properly it will last a very long time ( for a tire dressing ). I have yet to try the Optimum, as I've got a gallon of Mckee's 37 SiO2 enhanced Tire Shine, but will likely add it to the next order to test.

I don’t have a picture in the daylight, I’ll try to get one later. This one probably isn’t a good angle.

On the back tire at about 11:00, you can see where I didn’t get the coating all the way. It’s probably where the bottom was when I did it, and I didn’t move the truck to get to that spot. You can see the difference in color there.

No problem. It’s not super glossy. That’s with two coats, and the label says you can do up to three for more gloss.

When I coat tires, I roll the vehicle up on scrap pieces of 1X lumber so that the outside edges hang off and the entire edges are reachable.

So Jason, which one are you liking better?

I'm thinking about trying Wax Addict’sTyre feeder.

They leave a similar appearance, though Waxaddict may have an edge in gloss. The real difference is longevity. Optimum claims 6-12 months, so time will tell. Even at half that, it would still smoke Waxaddict.

Price for my 8oz bottle of Optimum was less than $13.59 plus shipping.
Price for a 16oz bottle of Waxaddict Tyre Feeder is $20.00 plus shipping.

I used less than a quarter of the Optimum for two coats on each of my 33” tires.

Both products are outstanding. Waxaddict can be used for trim and interior also, though I don’t use it for that. Possible you can use the Optimum on trim, but I haven’t, and likely won’t, try it.

So ultimately, l can absolutely recommend both. That said, unless Optimum’s stated durability is WAY off, I think it’s a no brainer to go with it. Similar visual result for both. Waxaddict is cheaper per ounce, but neither is expensive. Optimum probably could have gotten away with charging a good bit more.

One caveat: After washing my truck yesterday, I really didn’t do a great job of getting even coverage. I need to go back over them. Since this product takes a little while to set in, it wasn’t as easy to tell where I missed spots. I’d say Waxaddict spreads easier. I need to get some paint brushes like @driverdog uses for tire shine. I think it would make it a lot easier to get it even.

A little off topic, but I have something I absolutely love for trim, and probably won’t ever use anything else. I haven’t done a review because it’s really expensive, but it’s on a whole other level when it comes to trim care. I can do a separate thread if people are interested, but I didn’t think many are going to try a $50.00 bottle of trim product.

Hard to tell in the pictures, but it really does still look pretty much the same as day one.

One month. This was after rinsing yesterday. Still doing well, seems to have faded some. I went ahead and added another coat after I took this pic and washed the truck.

I’m not going to apologize for this one. It’s a fantastic product at a great price.
