What is the part called and what is it's purpose? Mine came off both sides when I went through a car wash recently

    Thanks in advance!

Based only on my observations of the shell on my much older truck, I'd guess that is to help keep the rubber weatherstripping from pulling away from the frame at this corner, which happens over time. Probably because this leading edge gets wind-battered at freeway speed. My shell has a small gap at this front corner of windows on both sides.

Does that window (right side) slide open? Maybe it's a slide stopper.

Right side does not slide open, only the left. It's a flimsy material as I seem to remember
