    Hello fellow members

I need some help. I brought some vision soft 8 16x8 and well after reading around i found out they might not fit due to the caliper unless running a spacer. Also if they do fit what would be the biggest tire i could run on stock height? P265/70R16 with som rubbing? Thanks in advance!!!

I dont see why the calipers would cause issue, stock size is 16" and they tuck inside the wheel.

the caliper sticks out past the wheel mounting surface, so steel wheels do not fit because they essentially come straight out from the wheel mounting surface. hope that makes sense...

Some 16" wheels do not fit, regardless of steel or aluminum. Just depends on the shape of the inner wheel.

If they do fit, 265/70 will work well with no rub. 265/75 is slightly bigger and may rub a bit.

    Stock is so temporary
    Did it work ?

I like soft 8's but don't see many here. I was thinking 17's only because I have 20" wheels now. Might help with caliper clearance also.

Has anyone had luck with fitting the Vision soft 8's over a 1st gen Tundra? I called Discount Tire today and they told me that it will not clear the caliper the way the hub sits inside the barrel, it rubs the front caliper.

The -12 offset of the wheels in the OP may be a plus. I had the same wheels in a 17” on my Tacoma with a 0 offset. My Tacoma brakes are smaller than the Tundra’s and the caliper had maybe 1 mm clearance to the wheel. I literally felt lucky that they fit because it was all that I had money for at the time.

I opted to go with the Vision Turbines. They were on sale and can be installed today. I didn't want to risk them not fitting or having fitment issues.
