That's super clean for that kind of mileage! I had a 2002,Honda RC-51, W/ just 7K, sold it last year due to not being able to keep in the garage and not riding on the street anymore. Hated to sell it!

No parts from the machine shop yet. All of the gaskets, ACR's and special tools are here, just waiting on the machine shop.

2006 Yamaha FZ1 with many upgrades. I don't seem to ride as much as I would like anymore, but she doesn't eat much so I keep her around.

    Blue,

I don't know what year your bike is, but, I have been doing mine over the years. I started out with a Thundermax tuner, then I gutted the cat and put some 1.75 Fullsac baffles in a set of CVO slip-ons someone gave me. Then it was onto the screaming eagle air cleaner. I cut down the Football aircleaner cover to a circle that fit the outside diameter of the airfilter.
Then I moved on to the cam. I went with a HD 204 as I knew eventually I would go with a 103 and those cams work good in both motors. The 204 cam starts comming on around 2000 RPM and doesn't start fading out until around 4800 RPMs a place i do most of my riding. You can really feel the difference when you need to pass another vehicle and not have to downshift. I did the SE adjustable push rods and the torrington inner cam bearings. I have been extremely happy with just the work that I've done so far, I just figured, since I had to do the rocker box gasket and have to remove so much stuff to get at it, why not do the 103.

Just recently I upgraded my clutch to a SE clutch.

The single best thing I did was the thundermax tuner. Everytime I did something to the bike it was just a matter of hooking up a laptop and either adjust the current MAP or run a different map. The autotune feature makes the process pretty easy. I did have to go with a head pipe from a 2009 as it had the wideband 02 sensor bungs up near the head, not like on the 10 headpipe with the Narrow band bungs aft of the catalitic converter.

No head work yet. If all goes well, in 70,000 more miles I may install the 110 kit!

I durrently have 71,000 miles on that bike.

That is a sweet bar decoration. What’s the significance of that bike for you? Villopoto replica, right?

A buddy and I skipped work on Wednesday and put in a few motos.

3 years ago, I traded my 3 motorized bikes for what is now 8 bikes where I am the motor. Not really sure how I ended up with 8 although there is a formula I worked out where N+1=:bananadance: With N being the number I have.

Somehow I lost 70lbs along the way. :muscleflexing:

I should have said that this picture was taken very soon after I bought it on 11-15-2013. Here is a more recent picture taken last September on a ride to Markleeville, California:

I can relate. I still owned a motorcycle when my kids were born but it stayed parked most of the time. Same with my golf clubs, parachute equipment (I was an active parachutist when my second wife and I met), etc. I was not concerned so much for my safety, I just wanted to be home with the family. Those activities are time and attention sinks. Once the kids got older (mid-teens), I got back into riding and jumping. I wanted the kids to experience both (along with other hobbies I enjoyed).

I have a 98' CBR900RR,a 87' HD Softail Custom with a S&S 100 CI big bore kit. My daily ride is a 14' Yamaha FZ09. After 30 years I'm getting back into off road riding now that I have a truck. Yesterday I won an auction on ebay for a Barn find 89' Yamaha YZ490. It was completely taken apart and refreshed. Frame was sandblasted and repainted, Motor was disassembled and a new piston & rings with new bearings installed. The motor was repainted and looks brand new. All new plastics and controls. It still retains the original forks and swing arm but they were refreshed and they have the wear of an old bike. Now is the long wait until it's shipped to my home from out of state. I'm really looking forward to that first ride.

    None, yet....
Here is my contribution. I bought it used for $1500 with unknown miles. It's a 1999 SV650 with a GSXR650 fork converzsion, ZX6r rear shock, GSXR wheel conversion for a 190mm rear tire and some unknown pipe brand.

Because I make poor life choices and just can't leave well enough alone.... It's currently getting stripped completely down in order to powder coat the frame and swing arm either flat or gloss black. While I have it out I am considering sending the motor out for a check/rebuild and a gen 2 cam swap. Plan is to make a street fighteresque bike and I may even get rid of the carbs and use megasquirt for EFI.

Rode the last 3 work days. So great to get some miles, even if it is only commuting! Back to the Tundra tomorrow. Great since I love my truck!

Cheers and keep it shiny side up if you're riding!
