For those running non-flex SC with Bully Dog tune, can someone weigh in:

What are the thresholds for the following:

    A/F Ratios (8-10 normal, 10-12, above normal, 12-13 danger)?
    Pyro 1 (EGTs)
    Pyro 2 (EGTs)

i can't locate information, nor does Bullydog or Magnuson have the information, or won't provide.

I haven't had any issues with the Tune from what others have had expressed (running lean) or Knocking, I believe more of the guys running FFV. But I'm also thinking of having the local dealer reflash the ECU with TRD Tune, till I can get DAP Tune.

    Thank you

If the charger and fit kit are TRD then run TRD tune and flash a Bullydog over it. It doesn’t run lean with the 93 tune. I promise you.

If the blower and fit kit are Magnusson then the trd tune isn’t an option. You have to run the Bullydog tune, which does not go lean on a non flex fuel, or on a flex fuel for that matter.

That rumor was started to sell a tune that isn’t Bullydog.

At full throttle you wanna see 12/1 and fatter depending on load.

Appreciate the info @dirtydeeds. The blower and fit kit are Magnuson with Bully Dog Tune on 91. Right now I'm consistent with 8/1, I'll WOT and see what the GT programer shows. Any info on EGTs numbers?

I was told I can flash over the BD tune with TRD, is that not correct? What about DAP, can flash that over BD?

At almost full throttle I was at 11.8. FFV, Mag and BD tune.

My bad Keith, I can't seem to get my A/F to read correctly... It's showing 8 as static, but obviously that's incorrect. I've tried to reset and called BD, they state that function doesn't display, but @4Runner reads?

I did notice mine would bounce all over the place based on throttle position.

Mine just sits at 8 and doesn’t move. Probably a bad unit is my guess

I’m no expert for sure. In fact, it was reading this thread that I turned on AFR on my Kenwood headunit just to see. Man, it bounces all over the place. I’m assuming this behavior is correct.

I was consistently in the 14’s and then I saw @dirtydeeds post at full throttle in the 12s or lower. I was a bit worried so gave it a try and verified under heavy throttle fuel is being dumped and saw an 11.8

Ah. So you are not using GT Module for readings? That would make sense.

That would be great if you could, when you get a chance, if it's not too difficult. Thank you

I'm kinda in the same boat, my A/F always reads 8 and other readings are eather not able to read or so out of wack . I have not been able to to take the time to do a little research for now but hopefully will get it dialed in. Keith what is the best way to read/ record A/F ratio?

I had a similar issue with things with the BD and just uninstalled and reinstalled, but 8 reading at idle seems right and matches my kenwood too.

Is your truck running in the picture? I see 12v is why I ask

Both my Kenwood and my BD will be plugged into my ODB2 port. Will hook it up later today and post results.

No, just acc on. But the A/F won’t change either way.

My BD GT just stays at 8 as well. Weird. The AFR should move around based on throttle, right? Again, on my Kenwood it bounces around based on throttle.

Yeah it should be moving, but set to 8 static. Your kenwood probably receiving a different signal than the BT that allowing registration of the A/F

I spoke with another associate again at bully dog yesterday. they state, the only way to monitor air fuel ratio is to buy their sensor docking station. https://www.jegs.com/i/Bully-Dog/159/40385/10002/-1

For some reason Toyota doesn’t allow monitoring air fuel ratio through the bully dog tuner itself. Gen 2 may have included that option.

Also I don’t know what setup u have but with mine, I have the obd2 split and only one (either BD or the idatalink meastro/kenwood) can receive the info at one time

This was at highway speed fully warmed up during last week's cold spell -27, I believe after 32° it defaults to 0° on the manifold temp.20190130_113115.jpg

Has anyone had any problems getting your bully dog into night mode or staying in night mode?

As far as the intake temp I don’t have that problem but sometimes my RPM’s will just freeze on a certain number and stay until I unplug n replug it in. The night mode with mine comes on with my headlights & has never switched except on/off with the headlights

There is no "Night Mode" available. A lot of the added features within the GT, do not work with Toyota programming unfortunately
