Works flawlessly with multiple phones
My vehicle: 2018 Acura MDX Hybrid. There are dozens of these devices on the market today & none receives perfect reviews. So I was a little wary. I selected this one over the many cheap Chinese knockoffs as the hardware is from Motorola and the software is from Google. If Google can't get Android Auto to work properly, who can?The Good:It automatically switches to whichever phone is selected by the car's infotainment system. I simply use the car's native menu system to switch phones and the MA1 dutifully follows suit as expected. Some people report added latency to the music player when pressing play/pause on these types of adapters. However, I experienced the opposite. Prior to MA1, I did experience latency with BT and wired AA. However, that problem went away with MA1.Wired AA would not let me operate maps on the phone after plugging in (even when parked). So I would have to start navigation and THEN plug in. MA1 wireless AA does not have this issue. My passenger can now manually operate maps (if desired) without having to resort to voice control. The Bad:I had a few issues during installation, but honestly those are more the fault of the car and not the MA1. My car could not provide enough power to the MA1. I solved that by adding a USB cable with extra power connector (see attached photo). Then my car said I could not add any more Android devices. It turns out that I still had some old retired phones paired. So I had to remove those first.I can highly recommend MA1 to any MDX owner.
