Nice after a couple hour installation. It is almost neccessary to have a helper! If you have applied wall paper, then you got this! If you haven't, no worries, just work slowly and be patient.Tips:1. Get your tools together. We used: new razor knife, microfiber clothes, body filler spreaders, heat gun, fishing line to cut under emblems to remove them, laquer thinner to remove the emblem adhesive from the tailgate after the emblems were removed and whatever other tools you need to remove the tailgate open handle.2. Make sure that surface is wax free and clean.3. Use a good spray bottle about a quart size and fill with water and put about 12 drops of dish detergent in the water. Put sprayer on bottle and shake to mix.4. It's best to remove the tailgate and lay it on a flat surface.5. Remove any handles, stickers or lettering from the tailgate (as you wish) Example: 4x4 letters or other emblems. On our Ram we even removed the Ram head and filled in the area with body filler, sanded smooth, primed it, sprayed it black and then clear coated the area. We had no plans to put it or the other lettering back on. The choice is yours of course!6. Pick your starting location. We started at the bottom of the tailgate to align the bottom of the wrap with the bottom of the tailgate. Align left to right too.7. Peel the backing paper off a few inches and spray the sticky back of the wrap with the soapy water. Spray the tailgate area where you are going to be working with the soapy water too. This prevents the wrap from sticking to itself or other areas you don't want it to stick! Plus it allows the wrap to slide if need be.8. Use your body filler spreader tool and wrap a microfiber cloth over the edge of the tool. Apply the wrap to your starting location. Once you work the wrap up to the center of the tailgate, you will probably need to squeegee the wrap (using your spreader covered with the microfiber cloth) at the center of the tailgate left and right. This may require you to lift the wrap up from the bottom where you just applied it. We felt it was most important to work the wrap from the center of the tail gate out to all the edges.9. Since tailgates are not flat, you are going to have areas that want to crease, wrinkle or bubble. Don't worry. After you work the wrap as flat as possible, use your heat gun and slightly warm the bubbles or wrinkles immediately push them down with your hand or wipe with the spreader towards the edge of the wrap. You may need to do this several times. Just work slowly. We worked up to the center, then left to right and center to top and center to bottom. We ended up with our wrinkles being at the bottom of the tailgate. The heat gun trick remove about 95% of them. We had one that we smashed down too much before we started to use the heat gun...10. Either wrap the edges of your tailgate with the wrap or cut the wrap along each edge or side of the tailgate. We wrapped the edges with the wrap. If it doesn't hold, I'll cut them flush with the sides and bottom of the tailgate later. Continue smoothing out the wrap using your spreader covered with your microfiber cloth until the installation is completed.11. Put your hande and camera (if your truck has one) back on and whatever else you took off that you want back on. Then put your tailgate back on your truck!Good luck and remember to take it slow, use a lot of soapy water and be patient!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great product

It was easy to apply. I followed other reviews and used soapy water, that made placement easy enough. My friend and I took our time folding under the edges, a heat gun was used to help with that. I really love the finished look of this product! It really sets my Avalanche apart from others like it.

5.0 out of 5 stars I get compliments all the time

For the price I couldn't pass it up. I get comments all the time. Recently I took it to Vegas and people were taking pictures with my tailgate. I love the reactions and even though my wife is embarrassed I personally love it.
