This is really convenient for holding my phone while I'm using the Waze traffic app. Installation only took 5 mins and it holds and charges my phone well and was cheaper and easier to install than the Center console charger that can be put in the Tundra.
Edit: 12-9-21 Well I really do like this device but after 9 months the wireless charging part of it has become loose and there is no way to fix that part. It now will shake around and move when I'm driving but still charges. I will try to find a way to contact their customer service to see if they can replace it.
Edit: 12-13-21 Customer service contacted me and had me tighten a screw behind the wireless charger and it took care of the looseness problem. This screw is very small and you will need a small head phillips to tighten it. Thanks pro holder customer service guy.

After seeing this cell phone holder for a Toyota Tundra truck on one of the TUNDRA forums I thought I would give it a try. When I bought it the system showed it was going to take weeks to get it. It actually arrived in a matter of a few days and I went to install it. Here's what you should do. Before even attempting to install the bracket, look at all sides. Pay careful attention to the left, lower side of the bracket. Look on at the backside that will be against the dash. Look for the very thin tab that sticks out. Make sure it is at a right angle to the bracket. Mine was slightly bent over. On the right side you will see the two tabs that wedge into the trucks trim on the radio side. The challenge is pushing the tabs into the trims gap on the right without bending or breaking off the little tab on the lower left side of the bracket. You will see in the questions to the manufacturer a lot of folks asking for another bracket because that little tab on the left side is broken. And from what I read, the manufacturer has been great at providing new brackets. The instructions do not point out that left side tab on the back side. That tab on the back, left hand side is fragile so be careful. That tab needs some work to be more robust for installation. OK, on to the review. The cell phone holder itself is pretty nice. It does what is says. When there is power to the holder it will open up as your cell phone hovers. For my iPhone XS Max (the largest one) it would be nice if it opened another 5-10 mm. It's just a bit too tight at its maximum open position. After dropping the phone into the opened bracket it closes quickly. My phone has an Apple case and the wireless charging works fine. Unfortunately, my 2020 Tundra doesn't have wireless Apple CarPlay so when I'm using Apple CarPlay I have to plug in a second cord into the phone. That isn't the cell phone holders problem. The bluetooth connections work fine. I also thought it's odd I can't find a real website for this holder. If you try to connect to proholderus.com which is on the box nothing comes up. I just wanted to email the manufacture the idea that it would be even better if the cell phone holder had its own embedded battery so that the holder will open up even when the trucks power isn't on. Why? Well, when I get in my truck I have my cell phone in my right hand and ideally I would hover over the holder and drop it in, and then start the truck. Since the holder must have power to open, I have to set my phone down, start the truck, then place the phone into the holder. Not a huge deal but it would be great if there was an inline small battery that also charged when supplied with power so that the holder would open up on its own power. I also would like the confidence if the bracket breaks in the future that I could email the manufacturer for a replacement bracket. I don't see any website that would allow me to do that if they stop selling on AMAZON. Overall, I nice product that would be great and get 5 stars from me with a few changes.

This is a perfect phone holder/charger for the Tundra. I had originally bought the Toyota wireless charger that installs in the armrest between the front seats. It was very expensive $158.00, a-lot of work to install, and not an ideal place to keep the phone. This holder automatically opens and closes when the phone is placed near the holder. This feature along with it charging wirelessly makes this phone holder a great purchase. No more pinching or pushing buttons or attaching wires to place your phone into a holder.

Loose and wobbly after 3 months

Purchased this early August, worked pretty well for a bit. By October though the mount didn’t hold as still anymore, slightly vibrated and moved on the ball mount. Now in November the thing doesn’t stay still even with the collar tightened all the way down on the ball mount, just wobbles and vibrates all over the place.
Was happy with it at first but now just left disappointed that it didn’t last long.

Not a perfect fit

The panel was too tight to get the nails of this product in, but managed to do. I needed to be really careful not to bend the nails. It won't come out anymore without breaking it. But still, there is a tiny stick out right in the middle of between two nails at the right side, which doesn't get in, so it's slightly floating. Also I don't like this electric open/close for the side guard, as I have to open/close it before I remove the key. But I could find only this one that fits for my Tundra... the round AC vent is bad for the holder as it freely rotates with the weight of the holder and phone. Now it's working OK overall.
