The Camera:
The most important feature of this Tailgate Handle is the camera. Master Tailgaters is dedicated to providing the best camera: clarity, dependability and longevity.
Each Camera is manufactured to provide a clear image. Not all cameras are made the same and we know that which is why Master Tailgaters never cuts any corners. In order to ensure a quality product, our cameras are double checked prior to shipping.
Our cameras are designed to work in low light settings. We know that backing up at night deserves a clear and safe picture of your surroundings.

1) The quick disconnect should be about 3 or 4' further down the cable. Then it would be located just past the tailgate so it could actually be used to quick disconnect if you need to remove the tailgate. Its like 6" from the camera so it ends up buried in the tailgate instead.
2) I wish the power wires were as long as the video wire. I chose to connect the camera to the same power source as the head unit (that way it would always have power, not just when in reverse which would be the case if you powered it from the reverse lights). You could probably find some other always on power source closer, but since you have to run the video wire anyway... why not just grab it from there where you know what it is. Unfortunately, the power wires are not nearly as long as the video cable, so I had to buy some additional wire to solder and extend them. It worked fine, but would have been nice if I didn't have to.
3)Would have been nice if the wire included a 3rd wire to use for the reverse trigger. The foolproof way to get a reverse single to your headunit is to tap into the reverse lights at the back of the vehicle. Some kids include an extra wire along with the video + power for this exact purpose. I actually found a reverse trigger in the cab (light blue wire in the bottom white plug in the passenger kick panel for teh 2nd gen trundras) so I just ran a short wire from there to trigger. But again it would have been since if they would just add one more wire to the bundle to make the install easier.
Overall I am really happy so far. As long as nothing breaks in the future - I will consider this one a win. My gripes are minor and all of them were easy enough to overcome. Getting the video wire through the firewall grommet on the other hand... not so easy :)
for the 01-06 Tundra model I wound up tying in power to the main fuse box under the hood, this was easier than opening up the tail light or trying to run everything into the radio. Also for tundra owners and anyone who had radios installed from Best Buy, the reverse-trigger wire may or may not have been installed properly. mine had a stripped jacket on the wiring harness itself with the reverse trigger line just wrapped around that wire with some E tape installed. it was causing a number of other issues and I had to go back and install some proper crimp splices to close everything up.
After investigating, the latch handle is just not very sturdy. There's a metal handle version available now that might be a better option, but it's sold out. If I can find the original one I might try putting that handle into the plastic frame. There's a bunch of copy cat ones on amazon now, but they're all still plastic.
Very bad construction here. After less than a year I almost can't get the latch to work. The original is plastic I think, this is just so much thinner. It's really bad execution.

I think the most difficult part is to wire the video cable from the back into the cab, took me about 1 hr or so, there's a lot of youtube of how to.
To find the reverse trigger wire took some time as well. No need to run the one from passenger kick panel, there's a bundle of wires, wrap behind the stock stereo, all you need to do is to unwrap the bundle, leave the gray cap on, and test the reverse wire, for my 2010 Tundra 5.7 SR5 double cab, seems to be the yellow wire has the 12V output in reverse, hope that helps!
The guide lines are a bit skewed, but still achieve their intent. All in all, very impressed with after market fitment, for less money.
