There isn't a huge difference in brightness between these and the OEM halogens, which isn't a big deal, but there's not enough of a differential between the dim (tail light) and bright (brake light) modes. But they are definitely a pure red, rather than pink (from having a white bulb behind a red lens).To eliminate the hyperflashing, I did have to install TWO resistors for each side, since there are two bulbs on each side.
