These sockets fit to the factory headlight plugs on my 2004 suburban perfectly, but the red/black were reversed.
The red lead matched up to the black/ground on my vehicle. I used a tiny pick tool to release the individual connectors and swap them so that the black was ground, and the red was the 12v +. It was pretty easy to do the swap, it took about 15 minutes to change all 8. Check the polarity for your application before you start, and before applying power. (for example, LED's might not work if wired backwards)
