Had problem with my bulbs melting g the harness 3 times in 2 years. Used for H11 bulb. Worked great so far. Not the brittle ceramics that break. I even dropped it on the ground twice and luckily it did not shatter as would’ve expected. Will update if I have any issues down the road.
These were perfect and as pictured. If you’re installing LED lights, invest in ones that have an anti flicker with them, but we’re exactly what you would expect plus a great value, I just should have done more research before purchasing.
I have a 07' KLR650 and wanted to add fog lights to my low beam and an off-road bar to my high beam without chopping upmy factory wiring harness which had absolutely no extra length to lose. I splashed in the fog lights and off-road lights to their respective wires on these adapters and it was basically plug and play. If either The fog lights are off road light bar gets damaged or shorts I can simply reach in my fairing and unplug one of the adapters and the rest of my lighting will function perfectly. They seem to be really well made and fit a little snugger then the factory plug going to the headlight.
I'm using all LEDs so it doesn't matter to me but the wiring on the adapters same as better than my factory wiring which was perfectly fine running die and low beam at the same time for almost 15 years 130 watt bulbs.
They don't seem particularly waterproof so I packed some silicone grease in the back of the plugs that might be something to watch out for if you're putting these on a motorcycle or car with pop-up headlights.
Lots of times you purchase something online(especially electrical ), and the product ends up being crap. I bought a replacement 12V outlet for my motorcycle , ended up being a cheap piece of crap. However, with these headlight sockets , I’m impressed. The wire gauge appears to be 14, and the terminals are actually well made. I used mine to extend the wiring on my Honda ST 1300 m/c, and they work well.
I bought these some I noticed my factory harness seemed to like to stick to the bulbs pretty good sometimes, and because I was debating higher wattage bulbs and didn’t wanna melt my own harnesses. So I got these. Never tried the higher wattage bulbs, but these fulfill the purpose of being the wear item that gets connected/disconnected, hot, and whatnot, while being easier to replace should it eventually wear out than the actual factory harness plug, so just having this there puts less wear on the factory plug overall.
