The package I received was the EXACT amount of material I needed to cover the entire floor and wall of the cab behind my bench seat in my 1973 Chevy K10. Noticeably quieter. Now I can hear music and take calls while driving, even in an old crate of a truck. Wish I had done it sooner.

Also, don't believe anyone that tells you roof underlayment would work as a substitute. As a career roofer I can tell you that you would be hating life trying to apply a product like ice and water shield without it bunching up or not forming to the contours of your vehicle. Also, the smell would be atrocious. Would it dissipate over time? Maybe, but really...?

I've sound deadened four personal vehicles now, and used a different deadener mat for each one, ranging from reasonably cheap up to top of the line. Kilmat is a winner. The bubbles before installing it are very handy for knowing when I've rolled it good enough. I didn't notice any smell, though the rest of my install took me about a week to finish up (so if there was an initial smell, it might have aired out before I noticed). Totally happy with this product, and it's held up great in the Texas summer. Easy to cut. Easy to roll (or press in by hand in hard to reach places). Very effective for it's intended use.

I combined this with several other products for a full acoustic treatment in my 2022 Ram 1500 Limited, including closed cell foam, mass loading vinyl, and thinsulate. I've done the "double layer everything" with just deadener before, but that's using the wrong product for the wrong reasons. To deaden panel vibrations, this is very effective, and economical compared to some other products.

my truck had no sound deadening in it before I installed this. It felt like I was cruising around in a tin box. reduced road noise by like 50% with this stuff. It's pretty easy to work with, very pliable and easy to cut with a box cutter (put a fresh blade in it). if you plan on installing it, buy the rollers!! absolute must have for install, really squishes it down and gets a mint finish. Also, if you squish it down too much the tar crap will squeeze out on the corners a bit. I recommend buying a little roll of the shiny tape to throw down over those spots and to hit any small corners you miss. Overall very pleased with the result.

Conclusión después de instalar.
Si se siente más sólida la puerta. No se elimina los ruidos de la calle al 100 como tu imaginas manejando un mercedes GLE.
Pero si es notable, el momento de cerrar la puerta. Es más sólida.
Y lo que siento más que notable es cuando estas conversando adentro del carro.
Es más fácil de hablar con copiloto o atrás.
Sin levantar tanto la voz
En sentido de escuchar música. La verdad hay que instalar unas buenas bocinas para mejorar. Con el stock si no vale la pena de hacer esa instalación. Les recomiendo de hacerlo y de una vez cambiar tus bocinas. Seria mucho más valioso la inversión.
Puse unas 20 hojas nada más, voy a poner el resto 12 horas en la cajuera.
