Troubleshooting:

  • The 12V DC plug of memory should be correctly connected 12V power source, if not, the red led light on the plug will not light up; that means no power signal from the power source or with incorrect polarity connection. If the power source from another car, then check whether the car’s Cigarette Lighter on good condition or not. If the power source from a jump starter, then verify if the cause is from the contact. If the power source is from an alternative 12V Lead-acid battery, then check whether the polarity correct or not.
  • The memory saver 12V DC plug contains an 8 amp fuel. Should a problem arise with the memory saver, check the fuse or contact your direct seller/distributor for assistance.

Used the cable to change out two batteries on a 2018 Honda Civic and 2012 Kia Optima.Initially had an issue trying to plug the OBD II plug of the cable into the Civic. I had to clip both sides of the retaining clip on the OBD II plug before it would slide onto the cars port. (See Photo) Once I did that it worked just fine. The 3 meter (~10ft) cable is nice. The clips used to attach the cable to a 12V battery are not the sturdiest but got the job done. I won't use the cable again for several years so not a big deal to me. If you want to use the cable everyday I don't think they would hold up very well.As others have stated the item does not come with instructions (Why-o-Why??) As someone else noted I just copied the general use instructions from the Amazon product description and will save them with the cable.Overall happy with my purchase.
